I am personally disappointed that Lagrac doesn’t share his caching gallery photo of GC12KKF at this point.
You forgot the imported adopt-a-baby-for-really-big-bucks program for desperate affluent white parents, where money rules, and obviously Marc (he who owns his own zipcode) has tons!!!!!! And could certainly finance a desperate child or five. I’m so glad this one came house trained and pre-named “mac”. And should be able to help him with his caching/puzzle addiction!
Way to go Miata and Trekkin’ and Birdin’. Marc can’t get by with anything with you guys around! Merry Christmas Marc!
7 pounds x 20 inches…just compared it to DB’s….nahhhhh!
Nahhh! It’s one of them fancy TV’s – whaddya bet?
Thank you, thank you, thank for this thread!! I’m meeting Accordiongal in Vegas in January while she’s tied up in Mayo Clinic meetings on a Thursday at New York, New York without a car and a few hours to kill before she’s available. What’s around there for a caching foot tour in a few hours of daylight before the freaks come out and I head in?
We’re heading out on Friday to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation area – hit the Earth Caches and do some serious hiking/caching. Jean wants to cross the borders and grab a California cache and an AZ cache, and hit Hoover Dam and the lights at Fremont. Suggestions, anyone??? Home on Sunday am. Any suggestions for hotels near Red Rock Canyon (cheap) and caching near Hoover Dam? (quickies and easy?) I see virtuals abound in downtown/strip from the above entries. A good thing. Virtual(s) at Fremont Ave. light show???? … Is Wayne Newton considered a virtual find???? And last, but certainly not least, does ANYONE have the coords to “…what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas…” ?? Anyone? Anyone???
Ahhhh, it’s official….the Ice Age Returneth and I DO NOT live in the Driftless area! After removing the 18″+ drift from the west side of my house and deck, snow removal has quickly moved into a clothing optional activity! But as my handsome neked friend, Candy Apple Green says, “How can anything that’s clothing optional be bad???” Oh, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!! 😉
We’ve got over 6″ of snow with a fairly thin crunchy coating of ice on top. Just enough to make the cats do a “U” turn at the door and the horses love galloping and playing in the snow. It was fun watching them play during the heavy snow yesterday! It was good excuse to start the holiday baking!
Awesome!! That obsessive jump from 900 to 1000 is the most amazing driving force! And your timing from 900 to 1000 was…? Geonanoseconds! Waa Hoo! Nice to see you found the cache of a great friend to celebrate your milestone. Lagrac’s awesome Winona Earth cache was my 1000th milestone.
1800??!! Waa Hoo!!!! Where else would one find a Caching Monkey but in a tree?? Somebody give him a banana. Way to go, Brett!
I’m sure you guys saw the logs from the first finder’s in Nugget Park. Zuma’s write-up said 2 hours, their write up said 4 hours. I’ve cached with Zuma, so that was two hours in his world and stride length. The park is 20 miles from my house and there is standing water everywhere. Park on asphalt and add walk time. I was going to head over there on Thursday, but the clay and water was making walking on grassy surfaces pretty treacherous. Didn’t seem like a prudent thing to do alone. Good luck on the numbers. Depending on which KB’s you are doing, his coord’s are quite good now – unless it’s that canoe landing one at Kruger.
Congratulations, Seth and Marie! You guys will be amazing parents! The two of you share so much love! This will be the happiest , best loved little baby in the world! When can we expect GC publication? And is there any chance this could be a “mystery?” Hate to see that rather odd little protrusion come out of the little tyke’s head! 😯 So, for the official event, “The Honeybunnies’ Baby Shower”, should we bring diapers, infant GPRs’, “Parenting for Dummies” or just money for the college fund!!! Amazing what can happen with a little fertilization!
The Chippewa River Trail series of caches by Zuma! is where I learned to cache. Da Bloodhound took me out, day after day, bike ride after bike ride, showing me the gamut of what a cache hide could be. I was overwhelmed and amazed! This “Zuma!” character was a God in our household! If a cache came out, we were on the road to be the FTF! Well, one year later, and DB has all of the series under his belt, I’m still working at it, mile or two at a time, when I’m in the area treating horses and Amish families. Right now, I’m kicking myself for not having/taking the time (while the killer nettle plants are planning their next attack) to finish the series. I have not ridden down the CRT in the height of Fall Colours, but, as anything else is, it would be SPECTACULAR! This is a lengthy series to maintain, so the sooner the better, before time, other caches and the DNR take their toll. This is a well thought out Masterpiece, courtesy of Zuma!, that is as fragile as the region’s ecosystem. TFTREALLYGREATSERIESOFCACHES, ZUMA! You rock!
I think Accordiongal is at 11? and DB’s buddy from MN, Oneied Cooky is setting up at my site at #13. Lots o’ good food and wine for Saturday night, so swing by and join the laughter. Tales of the Tupperware and ammo boxes are always good! We need lots of wood! 😀
Okay, Zuma!, I forgive you for that early morning drenching. After trying to ford a shallow creek while caching with Lagrac this spring and finding myself up to my crotch in river quicksand on the second step across 8″ of water, electronics precariously held over my head as the “Doc. sucking river monster was tried its best pull me under,” I have been severely leary about river crossings. Good thing DB didn’t sink when he jumped into the creek to grab the silver ammo box – otherwise he’d still be there! Good thing I made it back across the creek in a different spot, too boot! Good creek bottom. Needs more caches over there and alternate parking coords. Like that side of the crick.
