Fall Caching!! No Ticks! No Nettles!

in reply to: Fall Colors Cache Bash at Bjornson #1896019

No, the 30+ include the new ones she has put out recently. I will be hiding some additional permanent ones out there too. DB will be hiding the temps.

I was going to roast up a big ol’ chunk of piggie for this event and start harvesting some apples. Should be a hoot!

Heeheeeheee! Ya, DB got the royal treatment from this puppet, as well.

Ya know, there is a milestone worthy destination earthcache with a hike at the Effigy Mounds…..Might be something you should look into!!! 😆 I’m saving that one for my 2000 – if I ever get there….!

Ohhh, they did that lights off thing at Mystery Cave in Forestville – Accordiongal’s EC. Gaad, thought I was gonna die on the spot! Not a good thing for a person with claustrophobia, PMS and a killer headache.

Felt bad about leaving the bloodspatter all over the walls of the cave, but caverns are an efficient disposal site! We found our way out without the guide!!! Crap, I should have asked for my money back, too!

    LOL!

Cool cave with a lot of neat rock formations. Fun EC on a hot day!

BTW, I did not realize the Swirly Rock shown on Geocaching.com banner is from a cache in northern MN – by the Soudan Mine. Very cool! Other EC’s worth checking out there, too.

Did I mention that Trekkin’ starts talking kinda funny once he crosses the border??? 😯

That was an amazing trip! Although any time spent caching with Trekkin’ and birdin’ generally will bring you to something fun, challenging, awe-inspiring, and you will laugh alot and get numbers.

The weather was perfect and the amount of ground cover was minimal. They don’t seem to have nettles on that island. Gorgeous scenery every step of the way gave you a reason to stop and catch your breath. Some of the shoreline vistas and rock formations took my breath away anyway!

Maybe I’ll have to go to Midwest GeoBash and sell tickets for people to cache with these guys!!!! Hmmmmm……… 8)

Power caching – Yooper style ! What a way to get numbers!!!!

Anybody try running a pocket query yet??? Has that changed??

What a Mathman will do for his FTF’s! Will we have to find a spot with sports reception to host this “Cheezehead Roast?”

Come on, Cheezehead! Post it, Baby! And we shall come!

    Greetings,

Isinours land manager has informed me that the hand water pump is in the repair shop. This means there is no water available at Isinours. Those in attendance will have to bring your own drinking and washing water.

Let’s do it!!!!!! It’s a great date for me. I’ll mark it on my calendar. Your Geo-birthday bash and the Official Beer, Bonfire and BS Event in the Nort County. (Nort of 29, that is!) Whadya say, Cheezehead??? 8)

Wow! About 30 new caches placed out there, just waiting for the Saturday morning release. Trekkin’ and birdin’ were so kind to come and give us a hand with placing caches, so ya know there’s going to be something fun for everyone. Earthcaches, letterbox, puzzle, traditionals, hiking, biking, bonfire, beer, BS and some grilled salmon. Whew! Life don’t get much better!
