One of my buddies was looking for one of the UM’s in the cities, when a cop pulled up and asked him what he was doing. Well, jRest ended up with a date with that cute blonde officer……nuf said! So, it can’t all be a bad thing!

Someone else had talked about being stopped by a cop, and the cop was having a slow night, so he got out of the car, helped look around and then made the find!!!! A new geocacher was converted that night. Saints be praised!

Ohhhhh, I want a boy lollipop! )That was a cute video!)

I just change tunes with a head tilt or a mood swing. Scary when the theme song from the Omen starts to play….. :-O

Birdin’, if you are implying that I don’t get out much, then you are absolutely correct! I apologize if my over-enthusiasm has been mistaken for a blast of oxygen finally reaching my brain and body. It’s blood flowing again! Woo Hoo!

Yeah, that’s a slow day when caching with Lagrac! I have come to expect at least three broken nails, and not being able to walk the next coupla days. This time was good! Not a problem! Oh, God, I’m getting better! Waa Hoo!

Geocaching Lessons # 142, 147 and 217: Waymark the car!

Geocaching Lessons 1,2,4,9,and 12: Make sure the coordinants are loaded BEFORE you leave the computer!

And then there’s learning the hard way, via the “Trekkin’ and Birdin” School of Geocaching.” Not for the faint of heart nor weak of grip.

    “…Just right back and you’ll hear a tale…”
    “…A tale of a fateful trip…”
“…That started from this tropic port…”
    “…Aboard this tiny ship…”

    Oh NO!!

Birdin’, put down the mouse and step away from the computer……

Wow, I treated a dog wholistically that was quickly loosing the battle to blasto and he lived to tell about it. Doing great. Crap, now I’m going to have to find that lady and go back through what all we did. A lot had to do with abruptly changing the dog’s pH through diet, some herbs, some homeopathy. It was amazing to watch that dog come around within a coupla hours, and back to his old self within several weeks.

Pawn shops are a great place to find a cheap working GPSr – especially for a child. DB found one for $60.00 – “Old Blue” that worked great. We ended up selling it to a new cacher for a few dollars more.

Winter caching is like caching in the rain, only cooler….

It involves strategy, planning, and a little timely on-line research. If you can’t do that, then whine on the Forums!!!!

    A. What just got planted?? – hmm- winter friendly.
    B. When did it get planted?? – check those dates – big clue!
    C. Is a bar close by? – more than likely very winter frindly!
    D. Has anyone found the cache lately – like during the last snowfall or two/three/four…
    E. Where has everyone else been caching and finding stuff? Duh!! That’s where you want to go!!!!
    F. Are you able to read “Geo-Trails In The Snow??” aka “Geo-Caching for Dummies in the Winter???!!!”

It’s just a different mind set – just set it for success! Get that smiley at all costs!! Why would you chase an ammo box in the woods that hasn’t been found for 6 months vs. that lovely, winter-friendly suspended cammo’ed cache that you can hike to, reach out and touch, sign, find bling, and then go find another one!

    Where is the problem??????????

in reply to: Wa-HOO! An evening out! #1882597

Great story/log! Awesome photography!!! Great job! And you got a smiley, and an bonus rewards day for all of your efforts! Woo Hoo!

Thanks. I was wondering what the best way was to transport the Gpsr to Vegas.

in reply to: It’s New Years Time Again #1882584

Really!! I really, really mean it! As of 2008 (and it should have started today) if DB asks for anything – NO!!!! What is it about NO!!! you don’t understand?? So I pupped out about saying No, I don’;t want to meet you for dinner. I need to go home and let the dogs out….. and I get home, the dog is enjoying a delicious meal of my other pair of tennis shoes, and she has torn apart my pillow – which now covers most of my bedroom!!!!! Just because I was now 2 hours late, her schedule is screwed up, and I have just comsumed enough salt to cause a heart attack. Now I have to lift heavy bales of hay, tote 50# buckets of manure, “cuz DB is too tired from eating to lift a finger to help!!!

Hmm N-O… NO. Yeah, I can do it. That waste of time just cost me double the meal! OH NO!!!
