Quote from the latest clue:
I do recall the many stories my father told me of my great-great-grandfather´s adventures in that area. A certain part of the story has stuck with me, since it made no sense at the time: “Your great-great-grandfather was Doused with Whitewater along the Southern Unit while exploring the Old World,” my father would repeat.
From the Brookfield REI website:
Ice Age Trail A difficult, 2.6-mile one-way hike along switchbacks, passing hickory and aspen on this sharp ridgeline in Kettle Moraine State Forest- Southern Unit.
Looking at the maps, the trail goes right Past “Whitewater”. It is in KM forest “Southern Unit”. The “Ice Age” Trail could certainly be considered “Old World”.
Sure Seems like a place to start…
Another option would be to use GSAK and Cachemate.
GSAK is a program for the PC, lets you make dastabases of all of the GPX files. Free to try, $20 to buy and get rid of the nag screen. Well worth the money.
Cachemate is a program for your PDA that lets you display the files nicely. $8- again well worht it.
Generate a pocket Query of GPX files. Open the zip file that comes in your e-mail- this should load the files into GSAK.
You can manipulate the files in GSAK however you wish.
When you are ready to load them onto your PDA, click File, then Export, then Cachemate PDB file.
That will create a file that will load onto your PDA at the next Hotsync.
On your PDA, open Cachemate, and it will let you choose where you want the new file loaded to.
Done!
LOL- I logged 56 caches from the campout and I still don’t have the .06 average. I am at 92 and I just figured out that I need 93.6 to be at .06/day average.
Oh well, once the pain goes away and I can walk normally again I will just have to go find some more 🙂
I don’t think the stats are a big deal, just kind of interesting.

If it makes you feel better, I don’t show up on the overall listings on the House of Brew Page either.
In my case, I know why- Only cachers with a .06 finds per day average show up. Since I registered in Feb of 2001, and then was inactive for 4 years I dont even come close. I need to find about 50 more caches before I will make the page.
I don’t know how long you have been registered or how many finds you have, maybe that is what is going on with you, too?
geocaching’s oldest newbie! The theater is new, only a few months old and very nice.
Also in the same mini-mall is Cancun restaurant, excellent mexican food, good prices.
There is a very good Chinese restaurant there, too, but I don’t remember the name.
What do you want to know?
What it is, or Where it is? 😉

LOL! Now I get it!
I finally made it through the whole thing, after a small hint from Fishcacher on step 3.
geocaching’s oldest newbie!LOL! I just found that site earlier today.
I guess I would classify my self as a Philosopher/Diplomat, I’d like to be a Kung Fu Master, but I don’t know if I have reached that level.
On some forums I have done plenty of time as a Nanny, and I am an Admin in another forum right now.
I also like the Perv’s outfit 😉

I feel a little better now. 3 levels complete, stuck on the 4th level.
geocaching’s oldest newbie! That one is tough- I solved the first puzzle, I have no clue how to do the second.
I happen to work for the state myself, I can tell you that the first rule of state service it “CYA” or cover your… butt.
Regarding something like Geocaching, unless they have been told it is OK from a higher up, they will most likely say no.
The common attitude is If you don’t know or are unsure of the answer, always say no. It is easier say no, and if you are wrong, remember it for next time, than it is to try to say yes and have to take it back.
The local manager is not the one to take it up with, he will always say no because he doesn’t want to be wrong, or set a precedent that he doesn’t have the authority to set. You should go over his head, wherever that is.
geocaching’s oldest newbie!I can be there. Just let me know the time and place.
I don’t have a lot of Experience hiding caches, but I will be glad to help out.
