Keeping within this Restaurant thread I thought this one could have been a past Geo Search or memory …
You needed lots of quarters, dimes and nickels to eat here. But, is was a memory of my first date. No… its not MacDonalds. But, there are versions of it around. Do you remember this one? If you are old enough you might. … 🙄 … 🙄
This was the 1904 Version of this fashionable restaurant and an early post card. Who were the owners of that first fast food restaurant?
..
Where are the geo-cachers on this one. need another clue? Try this one…
Famous painting of a Lone late night patron at this “open for 24 hours a day” famous fast food resturant. Right click the photo for the properities for one … the name … perhaps that will help? But, what was the name of the owners? Has anyone visited that location? … 🙄 … 🙄

Our Baseball Season started here in NJ … the usual parade of Little Leaguers and Old time Ball Players. Some old time Ball Player Sponsored Archived Ads …….. were posted. Here are a few.
Batting Instructions by DiMaggio and the Camels he smoked.
Then of course, Lucky Strike had to have one of their own.
Chesterfields showed every major sport athlete smoked theirs.
Then those Wheaties Ads became popular and for some reason all those Sport coaches were still “lighting up” on the side lines. 🙄 … 🙄
.. .Opening Baseball Season News sent to me. This ballfield gets over 60,000 vistors a year… It looked a little strange to me when I had to walk through this corn field to get to the ballfield.
These guys look like they are ghosts. Do they look familiar to you?
My kids were allow to play ball there and visit the house on the hill.
It was quite and experience in Iowa. Lots of camera men there. ???

My Mom and her husband were here today for Easter. They look just like Mr and Mrs. Claus and play the part every Dec. They are looking for some type of trinket to hand out to kids. I showed her some geocoins, wooden nickles, plastic coins, smashed pennies and pathtags. All interested her but she does not know how to design one etc. She would like to use a photo of her husband or a drawing of a photo of him to put on what ever she has made. Since so many here have custom things made what would be a good place for her to look first?
TEI hope this helps a little. I found several companies that do “Imprinting of Photos on Wooden Nickles” . They require you to upload your photo and they will “imprint” …
One was http://www.wooden-nickel.com and another …http://www.Target.com There are many available ..
These found by just google up ..
… Imprinting Photos on Wooden Nickles … Click “Images” also and secure more samples and companies …
…Been there done that. right in the neck of my past history. My parents stayed at the Ellis Island for a short period in 1920 .. and I had photos of the actual ship they come in on. In addition, now 88 years later my grand children always ask to visit there and the Statue of Liberty. Thanks so much for starting this thread . Whose parents came through Ellis Island… let’s hear from you. Lots of stories to tell, I’m sure.
…Happy Easter to you too. Let me share a little of my Easter Parade Memories…
Judy Garland and Fred Astaire Movie singing Irving Berlin’s Song “Easter Parade”.. can you remember the words… in your Easter Bonnet etc…
This little girl ready to “Parade”…. notice the gloves? Don’t see much of that anymore.
Easter Parade on Fifth Ave New York is probably the most famous. This one features the cars driving past St. Patricks in 1913… No.. I wasn’t there… 😆 … 😆
…My friend at Dochemp gave me this one to share for a little Nostalgia. I hope it fits here.

This one comes with a Music presentation…

Anyone see this one before?… Thanks for listening.
..Kids and Family building projects always great fun… This one was done to use for Spring and Summer fishing and boating interests.
Rule #1 don’t build them in the basement …had to dismantle and move the project outside … and get some family help.
I then got some family help …finally three weeks and later and lots of refreshments consumed .. it was done.
Will show show you the launching next time… Anyone else try building a rowboat … or even a larger one?

What will you remember about this winter as weather gets better and it only a memory instead of a cold reality. For me it was the most I wore snowpants in 52 years since I was 8 years old.
My poker playing friends had no problem with the snow.
They were on the patio deck and playing for cold hard cash and the beer stayed cold. .. 🙄 … 🙄 … 8)
..Here is belated reported News (will return to Studebaker later) on the the famous General Lee Dodge Car. This car brought “big bucks”.
John Schneider with his 1969 Replica of the “General Lee” that sold for nearly $10 Million. The 725-Horsepower Iconic Charger is a Replica of the car that appeared in the “Dukes of Hazzards” TV series in the 1980’s. John Schneider played Bo Duke in the series. He let out the loudest “yeeee-hawwww” in the history of Hazzard Count.
I would too with $10 Million… 8) … 8) … 😆 … My first car cost $25.00 .. 1927 Essex…no kidding.

TEThose Car Shows always found Dad and Mom there with this one.
My favorite in the shows .. great at July 4th town parades. The running boards always had the local Car Dealers on them… to tired to march. 😆 … 😆
Don’t despair… collecting Maple Syrup Season starts now. And it looks like this on some Wisconsin Maple Syrup Farms. Some Syrup almost as good as Vermont and New York… 😆 😆

Now lets see… a get a drill and drill into a tree and collect the sap like this … I think I’ll try it. I have a Maple tree. Is that enough? … 🙄 … 🙄
..03/21/2008 at 11:00 am in reply to: Historic Sites and Getting There On A Harley Motor Bike #1886237This fellow wanted to show off his Bike like this one.
I told this TV Star that with all his money and huge collection of “Famous Cars” to start posting in that other “CAR” thread. …. 😆 … 😆 Yes he has quite a few to show off.
Anymore famous stop overs on this route that we should see?.
