Congratulations you two! It’s been great getting to know you over the past few years. A big thanks to feeding my husband all the time as well. 😆 Keep setting goals and achieving them. Tami

I would NOT judge a cookie contest if I could not taste the cookie…thus I would NOT vote for a cache if I had NOT found the cache. 🙁 Tami

I think I was a little sleepy this morning….I should have said would you rather attend the “state fair” or the “world’s fair.”

FYI Over the years, Geocaching friends of mine from (Tennesse, Florida, California, Germany etc) have hinted to me that Wisconsin would make a great place to host a future geowoodstock.
We just need a strong “backbone” to be able to carry it through….
So if the Midwest geobash won’t let us host theirs, I say let’s go for GeoWoodstock, Tami

I’ve been to two MWGB and attended 4 geowoodstocks…..my vote is the geowoodstock. Would you rather attend a “county fair” or the “state fair.”

Let it be known that….Ecoranger’s grant permission to replace any of our caches that appear to have gone missing. THANKS! 😆

A BIG hug from the ecorangers on your BIG accomplishment. Glad to hear you get out and hunt them and not just approve them. 😛

😀 Thanks everyone…we are still having fun (even when our palm pilot dies and we are hunting blind i.e. coords only, which by the way happened to us in Illinois over Thanksgiving weekend) so we will keep at it. Plus, we enjoy seeing you all at the events and on the trails and also, looking forward to meeting others that we haven’t met yet. Tami

There are some islands in Big Cedar Lake….I’ll have to check out to see if any are on “public” land. tami

Did someone say, “free beer?” You should have been at Muggles Friday evening. They have happy hour 4:00-7:00 with buy one get one free!

We are trying to get a “bigger” establishment for Friday’s event to have a meet and eat.

I’m sure some of us will still end up at Muggles afterwards.

WE talked about having Karokee going on for 1-2 hours after you turn in your card and are waiting for the prizes. So get practicing on your singing everyone. StarWArs Family really knows how to Karokee as well as Opps5 and MisterGreen Thumb. Mrs. Sunshine provides just that, sunshine!

Thanks for everyone’s input….now what can we do to get it to a Mega event status????? Tami

in reply to: 2009 WGA Winter Event Ideas? #1897503

AstroD-Team knows how to host a winter campout event. My family had a ball staying in a cabin with other geocachers (Marc sure knows how to keep the cabin fire burning all night long) for a weekend. The camp provided ice-skating, cross-country skiing, downhill tubing etc plus they (astroD-team) hid quality temp caches for us to find. I am happy to read that the WGA is looking into a winter gathering event. Tami

It has happened to us twice now! On a family power-geocaching vacation, our new palm pilot dies and we have no info on the caches!
Are we hunting a virtual, earth cache, multi, puzzle, regular or off-set cache…size….difficulty, terrain, title of cache? We know nothing so we call this type of geocaching, blind geocaching meaning we know nothing about the cache. Tami
