WE just came up on our 5 year geocaching anniversary on 10-10 and have logged to date: 15,715. We’ve averaged 3143 per year and 8.0 per day.
Awesome event today. Fun and educational all in one 😀
I’ll be carrying my “deck of cards” with me.
Thanks for planning it. Speaker did a nice job!08/08/2008 at 3:28 am in reply to: Deadline for the West Bend $1000 Cache Ba$h is by August 7th #1892690Too funny! Oops…was suppose to read to qualify for cash prizes NOT cache prizes (my bad). Tami

Assuming the difficulty level is accurate 🙄 I like RPaske’s rule of thumb which is 5 minutes for ever star.
Thus one star difficulty=5 minute search, 3 star difficulty = 15 minute search etc. Tami😀 8) 😀 8) 😀 8) 😀 8) 😀 8) 😀 8) 8) 😀 8) 😀 8) 8)
Yep….it’s been approved!
Good work Jeremy! TamiThanks SammyClaws for the West Bend “recognition.” Just wait until after our $1000 Cache Ba$h this August 16th GC1AW6D…there will be 50 new permanent caches plus two earth caches plus a new possible night hunt cache.
We would love for this to turn into a Mega event so PLEASE sign-up now if you haven’t already.Lastly, I’m too tired to count but where does Wisconsin fall in for total number of caches in the states…do we make the top ten list?. 😆 Tennessee surprises me ❓

Thanks for giving back to the geocaching community by approving caches and by giving up countless hours of your time in the process. We truly appreciate all that you do so we can go out and “play.” Tami

Thanks for dropping off some trackables in West Bend Wis.
Thanks for asking bnb….I picked the wrong day to do cache maintenance! Actually, I got to maintain 10 caches until the “triple threat” went into effect all at once in Washington County: 1) tornado warning 2) flash flood warning and 3) Hail storm
I could have used another two hours to finish up with maintenance, BUT who would be out geocaching under these weather conditions?Hope you will have a chance to hunt other caches in West Bend. during your visit
We are also having a huge event August 16th in West Bend GC1AW6D.Tie, you mention WGA…” This will be the fifth year running that the WGA has put on this presentation at the Ice Age Center. The people there have been very receptive to geocaching, and a good volunteer turnout would really help further that positive relationship. “
1) Will this event be listed on geocaching.com? and if if does 2) Does that mean that the temp. caches will not be loggable? Tami
Just got back at 1:30am. Had a power geocaching weekend at GeoWoodstock with AuntieNae.
They announced that Tennessee has been selected to host GeoWoodstock #7 (just south of Nashville). Tami

Super! Terrific! Fantastic! Well Done! Teamwork! Great! Awesome!Could someone please change the date to 8/16/08 on the WGA Events page for the West Bend $1000 Cache Ba$h? It currently reads 8/15. Thanks! Tami
Thanks for the explanation…..when someone submits an error on a new cache submission, the WGA approvers will “guide” them through what they need to change for approval. If that’s all that needed to be done was the start up time why did you have to go through groundspeak? It’s hard for me to believe that groundspeak would encourage multiple attended logging for 3 events under one event. This was very disconcerting for me.
