A big hug and a big CONGRATULATIONS from the ecorangers. We enjoyed hunting your challenging caches this past weekend. Loved the container for your final on Multi3. Tami
A big hug and a big congratulations from the ecorangers. Enjoyed reading your logs from your West Bend caches…plenty more for you to find on your next visit. Tami
A big hug and a big congratulations from the Ecorangers….once things start to settle down, we plan on hiding more in the West Bend area. Tami
A Big hug and a Big CONGRATULATIONS from the Ecorangers….plenty more for you to find down here in West Bend. Now onto 2000. Tami
A BIG HUG and a BIG CONGRATULATIONS from the Ecorangers….so which cache got “honors” at the event? It wasn’t the tank was it? LOL
Tami09/27/2005 at 3:03 am in reply to: Cache Event – Way up Nord Fall Campout Bash ‘n’ Cache #1738410I have a pretty good idea which one it is!
Kids really enjoyed hunting that one. TamiThanks Ann and Dan for an awesome event! Great hides, awesome coffee, and profound discussion around the campfire. Some of the things I learned late Friday and Saturday night:
*Brian of The Tapps wins Late Night Keeper of the Fire Award.
*I learned how important Helen is to Ray in terms of taking care of his, um, er, brief needs.
*I learned more about pests that attack trees than I honestly would care to know.
*Ecorangers can’t find rock hides.
*AuntieNae and The Tapps finally found the tank cache on the fourth try.
*It was really Don of Astro-D team that wanted to go stay in the hotel complaining, in his own words, “next to bugs, I really don’t adapt well to the cold.” George would have slept anywhere after crossing the blasted land during Bulls Falls cache.
*If you want to make people fall asleep at a campfire play jazz.
*Ann never sleeps.
Ha! Thanks everyone, it was truly a blast! Same time, same channel next year?
Wade (Professor)Jansen is a no go….no parking available and no access to the trails. Cherrywood is your best bet for super sized and pure evil.
Happy Hunting! TamiWhy is everyone picking on me? If it wasn’t for geocaching, I’d still be in the “stone age” with my computer skills. Tami
I wanted to post some pictures on a thread for 100 on highway 100 and Bushwhacking Queen and I couldn’t figure it out.
Thanks Ron for the info on how to do it.I parked at CherryWood today (during my lunch hour) and hiked in to Super Sized…on my way I saw two huge white mushrooms the size of EnergySAver’s (Ron) head. There is a small sign next to the trail head. I’ve never had anyone approach me good or bad the few times I had parked there. Either way, the terrain rating is accurate. Happy Hunting!
TamiThanks Ron! I can still hear Bushwhacking Queen and Professor laughing loudly while viewing your “new” picture…..boy, someone has a lot of time on their hands? BTW how does one post a picture on a thread? LOL Tami
Hey, everybody…come on down/over/up to West Bend. We will be out of town this weekend but will be thinking of you. Happy Hunting! Tami
We took two pictures. One of Bushwhacking Queen blazing a trail for us (and we almost lost here), and one of the family at ground zero, celebrating 5000. Sorry, none being in the ditch….the nature preserve closed and 9:00pm and we were very close to 9:00pm when we arrived at the car.
Thanks, Marc, Bushwhacking Queen, EnergySAver and Miata for the pat on the back. Here’s the ditch story.
It was 8:55pm, pitch black out. There are no lights in the parking lot. A truck was parked on the far side of the parking lot so I decided to do the “boogie manuever,” by staying on our half of the parking lot and thus, I backed right into the ditch. The muggles from the parked truck raced over and helped Professor and Bushwhacking push me out. Princess and Duelist thought it was hilarious. Well, there’s a first time for everything eh? TamiOh, you are mean Marc…just you wait! Tami
