I have two fears:
1) walking into spider webs…the real thick ones that are hard to get off of you2) sticking my hand in a whole to probe for a cache in which I can’t see what’s in the hole.
(remind you of someone Marc?)Tami
I agree with Smokey that common sense comes into play, but this type of urban cache has been around for some time. Has anyone ever been hurt? Personally, while I am all for safety, and got sick of these types of caches in Florida, I’m seeing way too many attempts to limiting geocaching (e.g., eliminating virtual and locationless caches–certainly hunted and more educational than another cache in a stump). Maybe I should try harder to stop that evil monkey from planting caches because someone potentially might get hurt! Alright, I’ve said my part and I await the upcoming lecture on safety.

I’m wondering why you wouldn’t just e-mail the geocacher’s in question and ask them personally, why they do what they do?
I wish they could do the same (make tags) for geocoins. I have two geocoins that have specifics missions but there’s no way of knowing until you log it. What if the geocoin was so close to it’s mission and we take it far far away?
I’d like to personally thank them for doing their kind deed. Tami
WOW…that’s impressive not having a GPS. Sometimes I can’t find them with a GPS! Tami
We like to carpool to events…carpool while geocaching….and also, we wait for a batch to pop up instead of going out for one at a time.
Same thing with hiding caches…we try to plant 2-3 close by. TamiThanks Marc for the cache update…we are looking for a place to go this weekend (labor day) and you can bet that I will be in shorts and sandals for as many as I can! Tami
Thanks “Trudy & the Beast” for recommending this one…it’s about time you did some of my caches (wink wink). If anyone goes find it…please take another set of coords. so I can see how far off there are. Thanks! Tami
I had a “blonde” momment recently…while geocaching in Michigan, I got stung once and just stood there running in placing swatting at the wasp (screaming of course), I kept getting stung then Professor yells RUN…I got out my earth angel wings and flew like the wind. I got stung 10 times…next time I will run away and not in place. Boy that sure hurt!!!! Tami
A big hug and a BIG congratulations from the Ecorangers. Way to go and keep it up! Tami
The Extreme Beam Team wants to say THANKS for all the fun we had and THANKS for planting them all. Boy were we surprised to find you had over 100 caches for us to hunt. Beam Team: B=Bushwhacking Queen, E=Ecorangers, A=AstroD-Team, M=Marc_54140
Bushwhacking Queen climbed to 2000 and is 3 away from 2100! Congrats on making your goal of 2000+ geocaches in your first year. Way to go Geo-daughter! Tami
Ecorangers reached 4600! Our goal is now to get to 5000 by our 2 year geocaching anniversary (Oct 10th) so keep hiding caches everyone! THANKS! Tami
Yea, you did it! A big hug and a big congratulations from the Ecorangers! Way to go….now unto the next 1000.
Well, I stand corrected…today, while I was preparing the kids for the kid’s triathlon in Waupaca, I noticed each kid (Princess and Duelist) each had a small patch on their lower leg. They didn’t even tell me that they had “itchy” on their legs.
Mine (earth angel) is spreading like wildflower on my left lower leg. So I keep putting anti-itch (for poison ivy) on it to sooth it.
Thanks to all of you for sharing. TamiPS Bushwhacking Queen said she also got a small rash on her leg as well from P.I. Looks like she was wrong and it was only a bug bite!
