Thanks for cruising through West Bend to get your pre-1000 caches and travel bugs. A BIG CONGRATULATIONS and a BIG HUG from the Ecorangers on reaching the BIG 1000. Tami

Some people enjoy the hunt more than the hide… while others, enjoy the hide more than the hunt. Lately, my family’s been enjoying hiding them equally to finding them.

This should turn out to be quite an interesting thread. Tami

in reply to: 100 for Ecorangers … hides that is! #1757340

Thanks to everyone who has been visiting our caches. The West Bend Chamber of Commerce has been wanting to increase tourism in West Bend…little do they know that through geocaching, it’s been happening.

At first we wanted to “beef up” West Bend before the “Secrets of Stonehaven” event, but we’ve found that hiding them can be just as fun as finding them. So now, we have a new hobby. Tami

Looks like you got the first 20 teams from SE Wis. signed up for the jeep event. Tami

Of course, I started at the bottom and looked at everyone’s picture….then third from the top is my family.
Fun to see everyone out with their dogs, and the different type of clothing depending upon the season. Thanks! Tami

A big hug and a big congratulations from the Ecorangers on finding 600 non-event cache finds. Geocaching is whatever you want it to be. But, by attending events, you get to put names to faces. Tami

I just started my own thread and then had to delete it since Marc beat me to it.

A BIG HUG and a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to AuntieNae for cruising to 2000. Keep on cruisin’ from the Ecorangers. Tami

in reply to: evil thought: winter #1749697

Just like the Mail delivery man/woman….we geocache through rain, snow, heat etc.
Actually, winter is my 2nd favorite season to cache in (no woodticks and no mosquitoes).
Make sure you have “winter” clothing including good foot protection and you’ll be fine.
Also, hunt caches that say they are “winter friendly.” We also expect our “no finds” to go up during the winter months….but at least we are still out there. Tami

Congrats to FTF! That’s two years in a row that the ecorangers were out of state when this contest came through. Tami

in reply to: Crazy Buzzard passes 200 #1757304

Congrats on finding 200 so quickly. Way to go and keep it up from the Ecorangers. Tami

in reply to: Miata at 900 and running hard ….. #1757307

A big hug and a big CONGRATULATIONS from the Ecorangers on reaching 900. Thanks for making it one of my caches! Enjoy the next 100, they are sure to be found fast. Tami

in reply to: Be careful what you put in caches!!!! #1758637

I’ve also been known to help “clean-out” the cache containers…Stuff that is obviously broken, moldy, falling apart, I remove from the cache. I’ve been carrying extra baggies with me and will use them as needed as well. Tami

A big hug and a big CONGRATULATIONS from the ecorangers on reaching the big 1000. Tami

in reply to: WGA Marching Band #1749543

Great idea….I’ve marched most (well maybe half) of my life in a drum and bugle corps. I could spin a rifle, twirl a flag, play a bugle, or bang on a drum. How about at the picnic we parade around for one minute drawing as much attention to ourselves (organization) as we can before the meeting? Tami
