We can now add Indiana to the ecorangers list…thanks to Renee who took the wrong exit and we ended up in Indiana so we decided to do one cache to add to our state list. Thanks Jeff for updating these. Tami
Ecorangers found their 2000th find on Thanksgiving day up in Minneapolis visiting family for the holiday weekend. I figured if we did it today (Thanksgiving) it would be easy to remember where and when! Tami
Wade picked out ecorangers as our family name. Eco because we are interested in ecology and rangers because we want to be like rangers! Professor is an actually professor, Tait wants to be treated like a “princess,” Dane loves Yu-gi-oh and loves to duel thus Duelist, me, Earth Angel because I’d rather clean up mother earth than my house! Tami
A big hug and a big congratulations from the ecorangers. Way to go and keep it up! Tami
You rock (or should I say Bob?)! A big hug and a big congratulations from the ecorangers. Also, welcome to the 100+ caches in one day club. Tami
I remember meeting your mom at the March On Washington DC Event. We met at the bridge, I gave her a big hug and told her what a wonderful daughter she raised. “Welcome to our family, mom.” Tami
Glad you are securing the date for our (EnergySAver and Ecorangers) event. Kids and I found 15 hiding spots last Sunday morning. Professor (feeling left out) is going to plant a kids cache and some surprise/bonus caches. So you can count on over 30 caches to hunt. Tami
A big hug and a big congratulations from the ecorangers…looking forward to doing more of your caches soon. Tami
Way to go Natloh2…glad that someone came to rescue the travel bug/s we had dropped on Wednesday. That travel bug cache in stoughton is not easy to get to. You need lots of balance. Sounds like everyone had a good time including yourself. Tami
Dear Extended Family:
I want to apologize and ask for forgiveness for the mistake now called Divide and Conquer. I truly, truly regret what happened. I know that I have lost any respect and trust I may have earned, and that hurts the most. I have not only disappointed you but also my family. I feel like such a loser.
I accept fully the consequences for my actions. Yet at the risk of sounding like I am making excuses I want to share what happened. In spite of all the rumors flying around, the justified outrage, this was not done to inflate numbers. It was done so everyone in our team would have a chance to find caches, and because we wanted to get all the caches in a park before it closed. Altogether Divide and Conquer happened 3 times. Actually, the numbers from this were minimal. No, it wasn’t 400, 300, or even 50 caches. It was only 10 caches. These logs will be deleted as soon as possible.
I know some of you question whether or not this number is really true. You are probably saying, yeah sure only 10 caches, we know how you got such numbers so fast! While I may not ever make some you believe this unless you have geocached with us, those of you who know my family and me should know that we do put in the time and effort. I won’t bore you with stories of many days of 20 miles of hiking to geocaches, or getting up at 4:30 a.m. to put in 16 hours straight of geocaching. If you want to question me personally about any finds or what happened, or tell me how angry and disappointed you feel, I certainly deserve your email message.
My husband tells me that some of life’s best lessons are the hardest. And what is hard is that I have disappointed many of those that I would call family. I will never, ever do this again. I am sorry. Please forgive me.
-TamiSounds, great! Pencil us in for 4 people.
Thanks for planning it. TamiFirst let me say that you raise all valid points. Among our 4-person family team (two of which are under the age of 8) we own one GPS. We may get a second one from Santa this year because everyone wants to hold the gps when we get close to ground zero. Tami
A big hug and a big congratulations from the ecorangers on flashing to 100! Tami
A big hug and a big congratulations from the ecorangers on reaching 200. Tami
Yes, welcome to the 1000 Club! You are the 11th Wisconsin geocacher to reach 1000. It was fun caching with you and Bushwhacking Queen yesterday. Glad to be a part of and witness your 1000th find. Here’s a big CONGRATULATIONS from the ecorangers…you received your big HUG in person last night at 11:00pm. Tami
