This one has been on my to-do list for a while. I own 3 Geocoins honoring this cache and I even work with one of Alvin’s daughter-in-laws!
Keep me posted as I’d love to make the trip.
Congrats on reaching 4 digits!
Congrats on the great milestone!
Bears taste more like beef than chicken.
If you can get meat from a reasonably young bear (1-2 years old), the meat is decidedly better than similar cuts of beef (and worlds better than venison). Unfortunately usually the only bear meat you are likely to be offered is from a big 400-600 boar which has fat marbled throughout and a much more gamy flavor.
I would love to go again but that weekend will be spent camping with my son’s Webelo den.
I’ll try to get a new one on #15 in Burnett County.
Congrats on another big milestone!

Tick populations are always highest in May (so it always seems to generate a lot of complaints).
However, my impression, both from my experiences out in the field as well as seeing how many people are coming in to the office with tick bites, suggests that this is a mild year for ticks.
Congrats!

Check out this thread. It probably relates to why you can’t even make a late entry.
