Great news!
Sounds like a great big event that DOES require a 6 hour drive to get to.
THANKS!!!!More smaller prizes would be preferable to one great big prize.
Congrats! You guys have been busy this winter!
Congrats!
I don’t think I will show this thread to my wife. She is hoping that my obsession will be finished well before seven years.
Congrats! I need to get active with the one that I’ve imagined near me.

While tar and feathers are somewhat hard to come by these days, I suspect that many of your fellow cachers would go out of their way to obtain some if I implemented your suggestion, cheeto.
😀 I’d be willing to donate an old feather pillow! 😉
Chris, I think I was the one who gave them your e-mail after talking with you about this topic at the event in Centuria.
I am drafting my reply to the same e-mail. I am hoping that we can get actual caches approved rather than only earthcaches. There is way too much riverfront to make many truly educational earthcaches. It would make a great canoe run!
Do you have any idea how many people participated?
Did any WGA cachers win prizes?
Thanks again for all your efforts here! This was one geocaching event that my family will have no objections to attending next year.
Make that 19!
Congrats! Another big milestone!
Congrats! The organization seems to be in good hands!
I decided to pipe in.
IMO, AED’s are most cost effective when you have thousands of people gathering in a limited size area. WGA events tend to be smaller and have people dispersed for much of the event.
Personally, rather than having the WGA purchase an expensive piece of equipment which would likely either not be needed or not be in the right place at the right time, I would rather have the WGA make all their events smoke-free.

We have a page devoted to events with a link on the left of this page. Do you see a need for more than that? A separate forum would provide for member input, but this has never been an issue. What am I missing?
Thanks for pointing out that link. It is hardly noticeable and does not allow for any discussion.
I agree with sweetlife that such a forum would be a good idea. I did a quick count and 11 of the topics in the announcements section related to events. Obviously the authors of these topics felt some discussion was appropriate.
I’m happy they achieved this milestone at one of my caches. I didn’t get to meet them. However, I think I saw this team in person at the end of the Borderline Insanity event because I saw their gigantic sculpture travelbug in the parking lot as I arrived late. Maybe next time.
It seems to be working again! 😀
The entire system seems to be extremely slow. I also get an error message while trying to see my account. I hope it gets fixed soon!
