Thanks! I’ve used many of your slides in a presentation that I’ve given several times locally up here.
Congrats!
I hope to establish an earthcache of my own and would then be eligible to attain the silver level.
Can we get some update as to how this event went? Was there good participation? What sort of prizes were offered? Were they happy about how the event? Will it happen again?
I was in the area several times but only had enough time to be able to find 20 of the 32 caches (partially because I usually picked up all the non-event caches in every area I went). However, because I mistakenly thought the event ran until the end of the month, I never submitted my codes. All in all, I thought the caches were well chosen but I was surprised by how much driving was required with hardly any caches in the city of Rice Lake itself. I would hope that if they did it again, new caches would be nice.
We’re planning on attending. We just don’t know our schedule for that date yet.
I like unique and beautiful locations.
The caches I most dislike are the ones I am forced to give up on because there are too many muggles (please provide a hint for these locations). In addition I don’t like hides which have caused the terrain around a cache to become torn up by previous cachers because of a needlessly difficult hide.
Congrats! Now on to bigger covers. A picture like that might even get picked up by a larger publication.
Great news! The statistics show that most episodes of back pain are self-limited (meaning they will go away within a few weeks using simple analgesics, exercises, manipulation, etc.
Unfortunately, the biggest predictor of which people will not get better is whether there is litigation pending. This tends to make even the most sympathetic doctors somewhat calloused when dealing with back pain victims. The doctors in Tomah were doing their job. Only the slackard physicians wouldn’t be asking questions about possible drug abuse/overuse of narcotics.

If you “go back in time” the upload won’t take long(unless everyone else is doing it too)
. See the 10/31/07 new developments on the site. (shhhh. it’s a secret).ditto – this approach worked well for me.
There’s no need to get upset. My comment was made in jest. 😀
Around here, the local economy practically shuts down around the deerhunting opener. Except for a few shopping sales for “deerhunting widows” there are NO events happening on that day. Nonhunters wouldn’t dare walk in the woods around here that day. That was the primary reason that I even made my post.
Even I will be out in the woods next Saturday morning so I will have to forgo attending your event.
Wouldn’t most cachers be afraid to go into the woods that day (unless they are already in the woods deerhunting on opening day?).
Probably more important would be to provide parking coordinates. I am still amazed how many caches which can only be done from a single area do not provide parking coordinates (preferably using the waypoint format). It makes finding the cache much easier and makes you aware if the hike is longer than you would like.
Merely publishing the distance from parking to the cache is not going to be very useful. Finding the correct path can be essential because some parks can have very long hikes if you didn’t pick the right path. If someone says it is only a short hike, this tells me to not do much bushwhacking.
Congrats! Two weeks ago, we both hit some of the same caches during your last 100. Hopefully we’ll meet in person someday.
Congrats on #1000 as well as being in first place in the WGA Fantasy Football league! 😀
However, I’m hoping you’ll lose this week (to me!). 👿
Congrats! I’ve enjoyed finding some of your hides!
I finally talked to a real person today and found out that indeed Metroguide does not require an unlock code. He told me to just ignore the page asking for an unlock code and I have been able to start using it.
I wonder why they ask for it? 🙄
