well I know what ND and GPS are … but after that I’m just going to NMH
I say that Groundspeak was right in shutting him down … if for no other reason than if he’s going around smashing micros (even if he replaces them), he’s messing with someone else’s geo-property … this makes him a vandal and/or muggler, thus not “playing by the rules” of the hobby/sport.
(The above is my “two cents”, since you asked.)
Not that I do that much caching … but I’ve never seen a White, much less then new Green ones … in fact I’ve not stumbled into any of the Original ones for over a year.
I agree with the comments. Our “first choice” of caches is always those that take you out in the woods or other cool rural settings with mid/long hikes. While we don’t head more than an hour away from our house very often, when we do we eagerly seek caches that fit this category … that’s just our preference and what initially got us interested in geocaching.
If you bookmarked “groups”, say with 30 minute/drive circles of northern destinations, we’d be happier than bumps on a pickle. Just make sure you list them on the WGA website’s “Bookmark Lists” section, or they’ll be well kept secrets. It would be nice of some format was used, like:
Northern WI Scenic – Crivitz
Northern WI Scenic – Eagle River
Northern WI Scenic – Park Falls
Northern WI Scenic – Pembine
…. etc, etc.4 for sure … most likely more, but I keep forgetting if some faces/names are current or past BOD’s (or BOB’s).
Humor = OnThe answer … for those donating $50 or more, your “Account” page gets an option that allows you to hide the list of donations, so that you don’t accidentially view it.
Humor = OffMy one “vote” would be cast for not showing a list of donors. To me the value of listing donors to orgnizations, is to provide promotion/advertisement to BUSINESSES supporting an organization … what benefit does an INDIVIDUAL gain except a bit of excessive pride.
I think both logos have merrit … when you log in for the first time you have to pass a brief “humor test” … those that pass get the static log, those that fail are for ever doomed to see the iritating moving/blinking monster.
To clarify …
I like the spinning logo … but only for the web page.
For t-shirts, it might be best to go for the non-spinning version … maybe it’s personal preference, but I hang my GPSr around my neck and would hate for the lanyard to get tangled in the logo.
Eeeeeeeeeeeek! … I mean great … yeah, that’s what I meant.
It doesn’t seem to spin, blink or change … but I like it too!
thanks for the hardwork Jeremy … but keep it in perspective and don’t have a cow about this
No …. you need something that SUBTLY draws the eye …
You need to check the box marked to “Enable HTML” … then you can use various html codes … such as, but not limited to:
End a Line (ie. Break Line) …
Skip a line (ie. Paragraph Break) …
Bold Text …
Start = end =Italics Text …
Start = end =There’s other/fancier stuff … like inserting pictures, right/left/center justifying text, etc.[/code]

GCY089 now has new coordinates posted in the log, by beu11boy – problem there was that the west coords were listed as W 087.50.xxx and they were suppose to be W087.48.xxx.
Just to clarify … as of this time, the owner has NOT updated the coordinates, so the listed coordinates are still wrong; they’re only correct in FuFu’s log entry on the cache.

Or the final stage of a multicache that started somewhere else?
The only caches with the name “El Cheapo” come up as being in New Jersey … now that’s one heck of a multi!
