I still think that this “solution” from a couple weeks back is the best … no where do the rules say anything against adding pants lint as being illegal …

I also use a preemtive metod which doesn’t cost a thing. Before placing the sticker in the window, apply and remove it from your pants leg a few times. This puts just enough lint into the adhisive that it will usually come back off with minimal reistance come next year.

The weather was a cake walk compared to last year. It didn’t slow anyone down in the morning and it sort of melted off in the afternoon. I just feel bad for the merchants with carpeting … but they still welcomed us in, very nice people in those Waukesha shops, cool shops too!

Oh great … so I suppose for a minute you thought I was making the WHOLE thing up!
here’s a link to GC’s info on the changes … http://forums.groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=120257
Looks like the TB/Coin tab must have went through a couple quick “changes of mind” … as in the above link he calls the tab “Collections”, but I saw it as “Collectables” and now it’s “Trackables”.
Per personal “taste” would be that if I place anything “close” to a bridge or under a “foot path” bridge … not that I have as of yet … I would select a “non-threatening” containter to help error on the side of caution.
A small clear tuperware, magnetic key case or film cansiter just has to raise less alarms than a “green pail” or metal ammo can.

Trackables is the term.
Just so you know that I’m not nuts … it DID say “Collectables” when I posted my original message yesterday … but I see since then the have changed it to “Trackables”. They must have had the same thought that I did.
I suspect that all these changes were “released” yesterday … as I happened to be in the GC screens yesterday afternoon and everything looked the “old way”, then 20 minutes later then changes started to appear one at a time has a switched screens and/or refreshed.
Oh, oh … cool!
If a log entry for a cache includes a photo, instead of clicking on the link … you can “hover” over the photo icon and the photo opens on the page. I like that big time!Congrats!
But when are you going to come to Ozaukee County and find some of mine, I mean some of the caches here.
I can tell you which ones have the best toys in them!Opps, now they’ve “tweaked” the look of the cache pages, to match. I like the boxes they’ve put things in on the right.
Hey Renee – what time does the event end? Just was wondering, not that our team is of the “til the cows come home” variety. Last year the snow melt our handout, so we left when we couldn’t read it any more 🙂
Accuweather indicates mid-30’s and only “possible” snow … I suspect we’ll have better driving weather this year … I guess we’ll actually see some people that are NOT geocaching this time around.
Boy, we’re a crazy bunch!
If you bring it, they will trade.
Welcome aboard!
Me and my family (1 wife, 2 girls, 1 dachshund) will be at the JANboree. I would guess that about 2/3 of the people signed up for the event are members here.
I like your verse choice too.
We have a team button with a verse (shown on our profile page)… I’ll have one for you at the event if you want it, just ask … just our little “welcome aboard” gift.I just checked out your website … cool and fun … I don’t suppose you have swim trunks for male dogs?

Anybody have good suggestions for removing old state park stickers from your windshield…besides picking and scraping?
Yesterday I went to remove the 2005 stickers from BOTH of our vehicles. The first came off clean with a wide razor scraper … but the 2nd fought me every inch of the way and required softening with harsh stuff (I used “Goof Off”). I find it strange the two pieces of glass, with the same sticker, sitting at the same temperature, in the same garage … could react so differently. Only thing I can think of is that maybe the first vehicle’s glass was not real clean or something, allowing it to come off easy. Which makes me wish I had not cleaned them both with Windex before putting the new stickers on!

I’ve found Cachmate much easier to use, after spending much time playing with both.
While Cachmate does not have a “built in” search function for cache names and GC numbers … it doesn’t need it … just use your Palms search function … in my case I click on my Palm’s Search (a magnifying glass symbol); type in the word(s) to search for (like cache name or GC), at first it doesn’t find (it only searchs Palm’s own applications), but then I click on “Find More” and a list of the matching cache or caches shows up … it can even search the TEXT of the caches, not just the names.
