Even though I’m excited about the Palm that’s on a truck somewhere, some day to reach my house … I too like the feel and comfort of the paper in my hands and the memories that come with the cache stains and rain/snow spots … not that I save them in a scrap book, but until I toss them out in a few days. I still have one from one of my favorite caches from way back in July … “Ring of Power” in Sheboygan … it’s got the coordinates to the final written on it, just in case I want to take some one there some day. Some kind of stain in the corner … I think it’s from eating at the Chineese Buffet in Sheboygan afterwards with “Chillsx3” who join us on the hunt … gosh that was a fun evening!
Kbraband is correct … but I will email you a bit more information … that was a tough one to find the first step for.
Sure, now you come up with this!
After I did it all by hand and made Tami swear to never email me 25 waypoints in the body of an email again (that were never punched in her GPSr).
Yes it was fun … we had a punderful time!
Opps!
I must post an additional RULE before someone accidentially breaks it …. we ONLY are allowed one Meaningless Question per DAY … so if one was posted, you may go ahead and respond to it, BUT no posting two meaningless and unrelated questions in the same day.Just so this is perfectly clear ….
I want it official noted in the WGA records, that I started this whole “Meaningless Question of the Day”. I think that in history, the name “Ron of EnergySaver” and “Meaningless Question of the Day” should have a meaningless but permanent link.
Dare I say that some day, in the far off future, that when someone asks a meaningless question (outside of this pre-arranged daily method of course), that others might accuse that person of being a “Roner” or an “ESer” or something. How about this … “Meaningless Ronsense”!

What is just a hobby?
Geocaching?
or
Using the Message Board?
or
Ticking people off on purpose?Great question, because I have an interesting answer (at least I think it’s interesting) ….
March 04 – I was mad at the town for not putting a “logical” warning sign at the end of our road, I knew there was aerial map software online but could not remember what the website was, so while search on some keywords, I found geocaching.com by mistake, looked interesting, I had a GPSr, but didn’t do anything.
April 04 – Me and the Misses decided to store the kids at grandma’s and go to a bed and breakfast in Horicon for our wedding anniversary, we were trying to think of something different to do while there that would get us outside (besides the marsh, of course). Suddenly I remembered geocaching.com!
April 23 04 – Our wedding anniversary … at the bed and breakfast and spent the afternoon geocaching … we’re hooked!
(So it will always be easy to remember the day we started, it’s inside my wedding ring)

I just read my own orignal posting – I should try that more often … I didn’t include the fact that I never even talked about getting a Palm, I don’t think I even thought I wanted one, until I saw those “paperless” people in action this past weekend … so now in hindsight it’s becoming obvious (is that less obvious or more obvious, Tami?) that meeting Team Lotsacache has cost me more than $20!

Ouch! No, that’s Ok. Actually we both are pretty “in control” regarding spending money. We both try to discuss spending with the other … two way pants, I guess? It’s more of the shock of it being her idea, that threw me.
So your going to finally buy an old eMap on ebay, I bet. You liked mine so much yesterday?!?!
So how does one properly dispose of a tick?
… Do you take them to the humane society for adoption?
… I just smash them with my handy combination tick-tack hammer … it’s great, there’s even a place in the handle to store little white mints!
I love breakfast!
Sorry, was that too far off subject?quote:

.. I like puzzle caches sometimes also. I try to figure them out at home and just have to wait to get to that area …
Puzzles! You should give my latest a try from home … (GCNC6J) http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=45e64bd3-50a4-4fdb-ae0e-5feb 453a6e11
(It’s not been solved yet, but one person has verified to me that they have the first half of the “decoding” right.)

In my opinion ….
No.
I always try to place the largest container that will logically fit; unless I have a specific (sneaky) reason to go smaller. I feel that most people enjoy a larger container, especially kids. Not everybody feels this way, but I suspect few people are disappointed when a container is large.Typically I fall in love with a specific area, then I look for a neat spot to hide a cache, then I figure out the story or concept behind it. With a few exceptions, such as a specific theme or concept that started the process. Sometimes I find a spot, but don’t know what I want to do with it. Then later on I think of a cache idea, and decide which of my spots I will use.
I submitted an article of the month, with suggestions on hiding your first cache. I thought it was going to be used, but I’ve not seen it show up in the last two months, so maybe WGA didn’t like it. I’d be happy to email you a copy of it; if interested, let me know.
