Oh No! I fear that T and B has changed a serious discussion into another “hat” discussion.
30 miles = 232
Broken = 2
Found Already = 32
Mine = 11Left to Find = 187
Would be more places to hide, if it wasn’t for that lake.
I just discovered that I lost my latest Travel Bug at the picnic … anybody see it? … link to photo: http://wi-geocaching.com/cgi-bin/slide2/album.pl?photo=00000271/hat.jpg;photo_height=500

Women looking for a furry faced man.
Man must have a nice outdoor hat.
Send picture of hat.(bump)
One weekend to go before “V Tree” becomes “Premium Only”.Is it really a hat … maybe it’s just a strange mushroom? Can we trust KB’s ability to identify the species of something in the woods? On a serious note (ok not serious, just not silly) … the hat that was found seems to have lighter color chin straps, than the one lightningbug had on.

Uhm I would suggest said clothing be made a mystery cache…wouldn’t that be a hoot. then we could claim another cache after the event…..hmmmmmm…. …who could we ask to donate?
Not me, I’m figuring on getting another 2 or 3 years outa what I got on.
Best wishes on the recovery, Alan. I’ve had my share of need problems (crushed the knee joint roller-blading, they put in a screw and had me on my back for 2 months). That was 6 years ago now, plus pain-free geocaching. It happens I used to work for an orthopedics products company in the past. The docs can do great things … do what the doc says and the EnergySaver family will be pray for your quick healing and great caching!

I too wondered what Geoff was up to … so I digitally enhanced the photo, to reveal fishing line, a transculecent mini pole, and an attempted hat thief …

The first posted photo of this hat … makes me want to go get some of those white-chocolate Herseys(R) Kisses … minus the large growth beneath.
Already put those answers on the other page … which is wrong, since they belong here (my bad) … but in summary, it’s very handy to have a geocaching business card … with your code name, first names (maybe), http://www.geocaching.com, and brief explanation.
I’ve posted an image of our card: goto the photo album page of this website, click on our EnergySaver photo album.

Actually, we did have a couple fun encounters with the public … on July 14th we were shadowing ChillsX3 and Huggger on their first geocaching experiences (Ecorangers claim I’m a geo-grandfather now) … a re-cap of a couple log entries that were fun, both at 53074:
PETERS PARADISE – Huggger’s log entry:
Tons of people saw us, tried to cover by ‘pretending’ to have a funeral for a pet ….baaad cover, but people didn’t stop to stare either!!MATTIE’S CORNER CACHE – My shadow log entry:
This was different for us … people coming and going all around us … so we took the box to a picnic table and made believe we were eating, we feel bad for the young couple that walked waaaay over here then turned around when they saw us sit at the table, to eat out of our ammo box.Now a scissors … that can only be a step of a Multi-Cache, but you can’t count it as a find, cause you can’t hide a logbook on/in it, right?
This will be a fun discussion, I can tell already!
We now have our own little geocaching business cards. So we’re ready for the right people with those. If we think we will worry the person, we start taking pictures with the GPSr (but generally not of the person we ran into). The biggest “unknown” to me, is what to do when I run into another cacher when I’m checking on my OWN cache … if this happens, I don’t want them to know it’s me, the owner, or they may stray from their normal “hunt mode” and I’d hate to do that. We’ve come up with the secondary cache name of “Elephant Man”, in the event that happens. So if you ever run into “Elephant Man”, it’s me checking on my cache.
Opps I posted a big thank you over on the Picnic catgory (http://wi-geocaching.com/forums/Forum18/HTML/000019.html) … dittos on how great it all turned out.
