You guys are right.. Some of the folks that did “Draw your own conclusion” did just use software to determine what the pic was to be… The finders were supposed to be learning a bit about their gpsr’s…Oh well… When I placed this one, I knew that was a possibility. In fact, that’s how I was able to fit the entire thing on the School grounds(I wouldn’t do that again by the way…). I used the aerial view/map in Expert GPS to plot the wpts.. Would you belive that the path walked was exactly to scale?? It was a fun one..
I’m surprised nobody has copied that cache in the area to bring us another one. Is that a challenge?? Hmmmmm….
Hey, I had a cache at one time kind of like this.. Not quite as detailed but the website is what gave me the idea.. GCG2YB

BillThumbs up Team Everest!!
I really hope you re-think your decision about the campout in the Spring.. I know I’d like to meet you and your gang. Keep in mind that Peninsula State Park is a very large area.. Lots of room for folks to “spread out” there..

[q]In 7 words or less, why should we vote for you?[/q]
I think I’m right for the job.
How’s that?

I went to this website and got my answer.. http://web.tickle.com/color/
Bill, your true color is Brown!
You’re brown, a credible, stable color that’s reminiscent of fine wood, rich leather, and wistful melancholy. Most likely, you’re a logical, practical person ruled more by your head than your heart. With your inquisitive mind and insatiable curiosity, you’re probably a great problem solver. And you always gather all of the facts before coming to a timely, informed decision. Easily intrigued, you’re constantly finding new ways to challenge your mind, whether it’s by reading the newspaper, playing a trivia game, or composing a piece of music. Brown is an impartial, neutral color, which means you tend to see the difference between fact and opinion easily and are open to many points of view. Trustworthy and steady, you really are a brown at heart.
That really sums it up.. Pretty accurately too!!!

No Temp logs — I’ve seen the light…
Why not — Seems more daring.

That’s a hard one to answer.. So much can happen these days in a very short time… I think we need to continue to be a group that supports each other and is also willing to pitch a hand where it’s needed..
I think geocaching will continue to grow in the next 5 years and we need to stay current with whatever the trend seems to be at the time. We should never forget where we came from but be flexible enough to make changes..
I think, even right now, we need to loose some ego’s and remember what it means to be an “association”… Help each other. If we can’t maintain what we have now, and have had in the past, we will destroy ourselves from within. I agree with “Tie”.. Strength in numbers..
Enough said.

Jeff,
I won’t say that I have any skills or abilities that distinguish myself from the other candidates or current board members.. I think we all have great things to offer so, I will just list what I believe to be some items that would let you know a bit more about “me”…
I’m a very “no-nonsense” kind of guy… I won’t waste time dealing with what I like to call “fluff”. That stuff tends to work itself out in time anyhow…
I can be very organized.. In fact, I really enjoy the challenge of having a project run as smoothly as possible… Co-workers quote me as saying “Every thing has a place, and every place has a thing”… How nice of them to notice huh?
Determined. Kind of like a crazed dog, I’ll see a project through… Not too easily deterred here!
Communicator. What can I say? Knowledge IS power.. I’m famous for the “FYI” type of emails… I wan’t to be sure parties involved are aware of the “whole skippy” at all times….
Again, thanks for asking… Hope this helps a bit.

Bec is right. The longer you can leave your GPS “settle in” while you’re doing the hiding the more accurate they will be… I usually try to leave it still for at least 10min… Bec’s idea to leave the area with your coords and then go back the next day and see where you end up is a great thing to do…
Here are a couple of links to some reading on the subject…

Possibly the “decon” container is the one you may be looking for.. See it here..
http://www.armysurpluswarehouse.com/itemDetail.cfm?product=M258A1%20Plastic%20Box&it em=559I’ve ordered from Army Surplus Warehouse in the past and had no problems… I’ve had no problems with this type of container and moisture however, there’s not too much room for trade items…
FWIW

For historical reenacting we call these “kitchens” and we keep our stff in them year around.
litleflrt,
Not to get totally off on a tangent here but, what kind of historical reenacting do you do. I really enjoy the trapper/trader type of rendesvous events.. Maybe you can help me with a sched. of coming events and such…Thanks for your time..
