Needless to say, I’m a huge GSAK fan so take it for what it’s worth… But you can do SMARTNAMES with GSAK. Read about it here… http://www.gsak.net/help/hs22160.htm
I just thought you may want to know..
Happy Caching…Er, I mean Happy Geocaching….

Randy,
Here’s something that may be able to get you started… Some of which is gleened from my automation script for GSAK…
# Load latest pocket query
LOAD file=”C:Documents and SettingsBillDesktop14737.gpx” Database=”default”
# Load Randy’s Home Coords
LOAD file=”C:Documents and SettingsBillDesktoprandyshome.gpx” Database=”default”
# Export to MapSource
Export Type=MPS File=”C:Documents and SettingsBillDesktopgpxplushome.mps”
EXIT
In the first line you’re loading the specified file… I just put the querry(14737) from my email directly on my desktop. And it automatically loads the file in “default” database. You can make it load into any database you have from any location on your computer.
Second line, you’re adding your home coords from a separate .gpx file you keep on your desktop forever(randyshome.gpx). The only wpt in there is your home coords…Make sure that when you are loading the second .gpx file that it does not clear the “default” database first, or overwrite anything… you can configure this by clicking…FILE/OPEN GPX/LOC in GSAK
Third line is the Mapsource export. You can export to anyplace you wish with any filename…
Save the “three” lines into a file named something like GSAKcommands.txt on your desktop.
Create a batch file named AutoGSAK.bat on your desktop. It should include these lines:
CD Program FilesGSAK
gsak /run “C:Documents and SettingsBillDesktopGSAKCommands.txt”
EXITWhen you want to automate, all you do is double click the .bat file!
Randy, I know this looks and sounds really confusing but, once you’ve got the hang of it… It’s really fun!! Email me directly if you have any more questions…
[edit]
Obviously you’ll have to switch out a couple of the “Bill”‘s to “Randy”‘s for file/folder locations on your computer.Bill

I just have to thank Randy for the Llama song.. It’s terrific!! I can’t stop smiling now!!! I’ve got a new song to hum to myself while caching now!!
Er, um that’s geocaching!!(WINK)
Maybe we should switch our name to “Team Llama”?
Cheers All!!!
I’ve gotten to the point now with GSAK that all I have to do is put the PQ on my desktop and make one click to automate the exports to HTML(for the palm), CSV(Streets & Trips), Upload to GPS, etc…
One Click!!
Then just do a quick HotSync and shazamm!!
We’re off!!
Takes about 2 minutes..
Definately worth learning to use GSAK.
Good for you guys!! You’ve just given those kids the start of a gift that may live with them forever… The love of the outdoors!!
Get the kids involved!!
I have to go dry the tears from my eyes now!!
Two thumbs up!!
Well, there seem to be growing numbers involved in Amateur Radio within our group!! I just took the test this past Saturday and am waiting for my call..
The idea of the transmitter hunt sounds like a bunch of fun!! I’d like to do it but will be 450 miles north bowhunting this time…
Would you please keep us informed of any other hunts in the future.. I’d certainly give it a shot!!
Thanks!!
