Thank you all for your responses. I am learning. I agree the concept is good in that there are more quality caches (allegedly – fewer urban micros). The problem is that there are NO caches in SO MANY areas that it will be difficult to get an area up and running. I also registered on Navicache many years ago and have YET to hear about, or see in the logs of my caches, that someone found them from that site.
I have come to the point of searching areas rather than the actual cache containers. I truely enjoy the new areas I have been guided to through the various caches. I have not spent much time searching the caches themselves (unless the kids are in the mood to hunt). I guess I have become more of “lurker”. A lurker on GC I shall remain.
