As I stated in the other thread, this data could be helpful for the folks presenting information to the Brown County parks meeting early next month. If you were part of the campout, please submit your information. Thanks.

I can’t believe all the cachers hitting the 1K mark. I am in awe. Congrats!
I’ll be caching vicariously through the forums for the next couple of months. Let me know if I get annoying!
Hi Bob, I like to see those milestones accumulating. I wish I could be caching with right now, but… Keep up the good work, I mean play!
Way to go Lindsey, it sure is fun to watch these milestones flying by lately!
All in all, the Press Gazette seems to have produced a pretty accurate and balanced article. I get the feeling that the photographer could become pretty interested in geocaching. He was amazed at the the number of caches hidden in the immediate area. I can only hope that the exposure will shame the county board members and parks committee into dropping the whole fee and pre-approval issue.
Pamperin park has three caches in it, looks like it might be the big money maker for Brown County, The dog park has one cache, the boat launch at Wrightstown has two caches. Barkhausen has one, and the reforestration camp has three. Looks like your workload could get out of hand k0rpl! Please consider me for your assistant.
Another point to emphasize is that because there are already caches placed in Brown county parks, due to the cache density guidelines, it is unlikely that any caches will be placed in the parks in the near future, except in the case that an existing cache is archived. All in all, there is very little to be accomplished here of a positive nature.
Here we have the parks department trying to solve a problem that doesn’t really exist. for instance, there is a cache in one of the Brown County parks that has existed since Jan. 2003, GCC1C6. It is a a great cache that has been visited more that 260 times, and has never to my knowledge caused a problem for anyone else using the park. The other two caches in that park likewise have never been anything except a fun hide/find. I believe the same thing can be said for all of the other caches in Brown County Parks. Just what do they hope to accomplish with this added paperwork?
Keith, I was happy to be present for #400 yesterday. Way to go, congratulations!
Quick sand!
The supervisor is Tony Theisen. He caches with a friend while camping and traveling, but has not registered with GC.com.
I just had a very interesting and helpful face to face meeting with my local alderman/county supervisor. He had read my letter to the parks director, and because he is a geocacher (very part time and not registered) stopped in my store to talk to me about Brown County’s new regulation. I did my best to explain the positive aspects of geocaching in this area, and pointed out that perhaps Brown County should look at policies developed in Milwaukee and elsewhere, and try to keep the forms as standardized as possible, and not to try re-inventing the wheel. He mentioned that there had been no input from outside sources on the development of their policy. I provided him with links to both GC.com and the WI geocache site. Keep an eye out for new (hopefully positive) developments!
Okay, now when my wife starts telling me that I’m spending too much time caching, I can say “Look at the Bandits” and I’ll not get in trouble! Seriously, you guys have really been burning it up. It was a real pleasure to meet you last weekend in Green Bay, and I hope we can cache together again soon.
