There were 6000 geico TBs distributed through geocaching, I got one yesterday also. They are also having a contest giving away a Maggellan GPS each week for 20 weeks. Enter at http://www.geocaching.com/geico.
Congratulations Rod. Big milestones are a lot of fun, and even better when you’ve got to work for it! Well done.
Happy Anniversary Pat and Mark, Welcome to the “Hapilly married 37 years club”! I think we are a pretty exclusive group at the WGA.

A event dedicated to epic fails of geocachers? I might even attend that one.
I’ve got some photos of Splash I’d love to share – does the phrase “whacking the bushes” ring a bell?
When I’m caching away from my home area or out of state, I usually sign the log “Frizz, Green Bay”.
I really like my 550. I find myself thinking how much easier it is to geocache with this unit than when I started. The recent upgrades in the software have made the unit even easier and user-friendly. I am also extremely impressed with the quality of the photos on the 550.

Caches that have special cammo or are placed in clever hiding spots are the most fun to do. I also like cache containers that are made of found or cito’ed materials.
Congrats, 1K is a fun milestone.
Wow, 200 dozen caches! Way to go Splash.
It was a real pleasure being one of the first to congratulate you as you walked through the doors at the event. You guys are two of my favorite people in geocaching. Your hides are memorable, and you are a blast to cache with. Lets do a lot more together!
Just last week I had a crazy geocaching dream. I was caching with my brother at a location that was a combination funeral parlor and wedding chapel. My GPS had somehow morphed into a very clumsy metal detector type device that had balky buttons on it, and was causing all sorts of caching angst. I won’t even try to describe the bizare characters in the dream.
Feel free to analyze my dream for me!
Pretty cool link, a clever mix of math and music. I’m not sure what it has to do with being a luthier though. There are many examples in music using the note letters a-g to spell words as musical motifs. Anyone else geting ideas for a puzzle cache?

“On April 29, 2010, Harley-Davidson stated that they must cut $54 million in manufacturing costs from its production facilities in Wisconsin, and that they would explore alternate U.S. sites to accomplish this. The announcement came in the wake of a massive company-wide restructuring, which began in early 2009 and involved the closing of two factories, one distribution center, and the planned elimination of nearly 25% of its total workforce (around 3,500 employees). The company announced on September 14, 2010 that it would remain in Wisconsin.”
Raising taxes has consequences. Elections have consequences. If the sky is falling, like you predict, the pendulum will swing the other way.
Two words: Corporate Blackmail. Many of the major corporations have threatened all sorts of things to obtain some sort of benefit from government agencies.
My cynical self is telling me that this whole bill is an excercise in greed, both individual and corporate. Add Governor Walkers political ambitions to the mix, and we have a real disaster on our hands.
I had a non-caching period of 48 days, but I had a Dr.’s excuse. When I finally got out again, I did a lot of them on crutches. Made for a long summer.
