Just throwing this out there. We already have six regional forums, why not a COTM from each region? Deserving caches from less populated areas of the state will most definitely get nominations and wins. The “popularity” shouldn’t be as bad, so a lot more caches won’t be shut out, so to speak. Of course I don’t think that the popularity factor will ever be able to be completely eliminated. Each region could have their own COTY. Voting could take place, say the first two weeks of January, and then a statewide vote for the Wisconsin COTY during weeks three and four in January with the six regional winners vying for the top spot. And no problem with the new January COTM, as the two years would simply overlap for a month.

Traffic!!!! I went through the Dells for the first time in my life on Saturday, and I will never, ever, ever, go back there!!!!! The one exception will be to find the NFL Challenge, and I still won’t go unless it’s in the middle of winter. Even then I’m not entirely sure if I will go. I know people are trying to make a living out there but, one has to be absolutely nuts off the rocker to want to go there. No offense to those living there, or those that like it out there. It sure isn’t my cup of brandy. I would most definitely bypass this town on my travels.

Seeing as West Bend will be so hospitable that weekend, you can probably pitch a tent on any given lawn. I plan on sleeping in my own bed, so you will have to let me know how that goes. If all is good, maybe I’ll try it next year.

Maybe this is just weird and not a pet peeve. Twisted telephone cords, they drive me nuts. If I am next to one, I have to untwist the darn thing so it hangs straight.
