Looks interesting. I’m interested as long as my schedule will allow. Any idea of when an assault might be planned?
Drivers that block cross traffic when traffic is backed up due to a red light. I’ve even seen the police due this, and nobody ever seems to get a ticket for it.
I’m not sure if I’ve seen this in here or not, but it really bothers me when a cashier (and that’s 99.9% of all of them) cannot, will not, or doesn’t know how to count change back. Then I get a dirty look from them when I count it out while not moving out of the checkout line.
I love that idea. Mind if I repost it to another site?

Curious, what is the point of posting a three year old thread?
Just a gentle reminder that this weekend one was voted for by the membership. Nothing else was intended by it.
Like many out there, I love cemeteries. I have always been interested in the historical aspect of them. The ones I have no interest in are the ones that allow only flat, even with the ground stones for mowing purposes. These type also will not usually allow plantings of any kind. A cache almost seems like a bonus to me at a cemetery.
Along with showing respect to those that may be visiting the dearly departed and the grave sites themselves, do remember that in most cases these are hallowed ground. To me, it’s almost like being in church.
National Presto bought them to sell back to the army for $20/can. Ammo is extra.
I’m sure the winning bid will be some one like Fleet Farm, army surplus store, etc.
Thank you HP2. That’s exactly what I was looking for and so much more.
Those that hang it under instead of over.

Zuma any idea what your max bid will be so we can have an idea of your max percan bid. right now they are 16 cents each at the 150$ bid, If you get them for a 1$ each or lessI would do a full 5% share, if you do them for 2$ each I would do 2.5%. I would imagine others might feel the same way.
Count me in on the above plan.

Can someone tell me, has the tick population really increased that much recently or are geocaches simply tick magnets setting us up as unsuspecting fools as blood banks for the little buggers?
I have yet to find a tick this year, and the last couple of years I have only found a handful. Many of my non-caching friends commented about how bad the tick population seems to have gotten over the last 3-4 years.
Back in June and July of ’85, I worked at a Youth Conservation Camp (YCC) up in Manitowish Waters on Statehouse lake. We had this one kid in my cabin that was somewhat of the bully type. One day I was part of a crew planting red pines in a clear cut area. One kid had a small mayonaise jar the he used for picking fish bait. The ticks were just insane in the area. Every half hour we had to do tick checks. As we pulled them off, we would put them into the jar. By the end of the day we easily had a couple of hundred of the little critters as our crew was about 30 strong. That night, after the “bully” fell asleep, the jar was opened up and dumped in his bed. It took about 15-20 minutes before he woke up screaming like a little girl. At the time it was so hilarious. Now days I still find it funny, but I wouldn’t do that to anybody now. Talking about a few ticks making one flip out.
I was crawling around in brush today for a couple of hours and didn’t find any. I have no doubt that they’re out in force though.
I don’t see anything wrong with posting stats, Gwynn. If somebody else has a problem with it, that’s exactly it, it’s their problem. They don’t have to look at them or analyze them or anything else. It’s there for your enjoyment and anyone else who wants to look. I don’t see it as tooting one’s horn, but if one wants to toot it, why not? One should be proud of accomplishments.
I’m afraid of heights and I’m excited every fall after I clean out my gutters. Not only because they’re clean (lol), but because I overcame my fear to accomplish it. No big deal to anyone else, but it is to me.
