I really like #5. It’s a good thing the vendor can help with the art because whoever drew this is no artist.
I’m glad to hear that the “bat boy” has lived and grown up.
Congratulations to you Dean and Roxie.
Congrats!
I use the 60Cx and I just love it. My previous was the etrex which my son now uses, or I will use for a back up. I have never had a problem with it, and I have dropped it on rocks a couple of times. The last time of which it got sandwiched between a rock and my knee. As far as the compass goes, I usually carry a pocket compass while I’m caching and I have one on the top of my walking stick as well, I rarely use either one of the two. Like rsplash said, you do have to be moving to use it properly. However, you can go very slow with it for it to keep pointing you the right way.
Congrats on your 100th. Believe it or not, I can still remember my 100th.
Yeah, if it’s camoed, the graffiti artists might not be able to find it again. 😆

Welcome to the WGA.

I have noticed that this is not just a one way street. I have seen a number of caches with multiple DNFs logged. Some with up to a half dozen dating back a number of months. Understand here that I am not looking to single anybody out. I have noticed one cache owner with 65+ hides and only watches some of them. I can understand that if you have new hides on your watch list, you will be inundated with emails, especially in the first few days. But isn’t it also the cache owner’s responsibility to keep an eye on the posts? In some cases of DNFs, I have even emailed the cache owners only to never hear from them. In my eyes, if an owner doesn’t want to keep an eye on their caches, they should archive them or put them up for adoption.

We’ve been checking out the Hayward area caches in preparation for this event. We’re also deciding on a roundabout way to get there so that we can sneak in unnoticed (we don’t have passports or visas). Just glad it’s baseball season and not……..
What about:
1) parachuting in,
2) hang gliding in, or
3) tunneling in?
That’s all I got for you.Welcome to the WGA. If you have any questions, don’t be afraid to post in here. Everyone is very helpful.
I wouldn’t mind coming out NJ, but I have a prior engagement on that day.
A couple of years back I had gone to the walk in for some stitches from a knife sharpening mishap. I had read of people, mainly animal control, getting vaccinated against rabies. I asked the doctor about it, and he almost laughed at me. I told him that I do some trapping and with skunks and ‘possums being big carriers of the disease, I wanted to know more about it. All he basically said was that we don’t give people rabies vaccinations. I figure they give it to animals, why not people? It’s my understanding that skunks and ‘possums are big carriers, but seldom develop the disease. I don’t know how true that is.
I didn’t notice. Thanks.
