Thanks for the input. Just once, it would be nice if the government could just leave well enough alone. In case you can’t tell, I’m not crazy about change. Seems like everytime I’m told that change is good and I will be better off, it ends up costing me a fortune and gives me nothing but headaches and confusion.

Last summer I had a fox and three kits run through my yard just as I was pulling in my driveway. 😯 This past Sunday I was a wild turkey in my backyard. 😮 I live in the NW corner of Milwaukee.
You’re always a wild turkey. 😆 😆 😆
I planted a cherry tree last year and was pretty concerned about the rodents girdling it. I was delighted to see that the bark was left alone, however it had three small branches gnawed off of it. The culprit(s) here-rabbits.
Usually once a tree is girdled it is as good as dead. The girdling though, has to be complete to the dead wood. If not, it will probably just prolong the enevitable. As far as grafting goes, I have never tried it, but it sounds pretty good to me. It surely wouldn’t hurt to try it.
Way to go you two. I wish you health, happiness, and longevity together. Congratulations!
I agree. I am not a vet, but I would rule out mange if it has a nice coat on it. It won’t last too much longer though. By April it will probably be looking like it went through a war. That fur will start thinning out due to shedding and all that runnung through brush will really take it’s toll. The coyotes will go after a fox whenever possible due to the food competition. Because of this, the fox will stick to the thickest of cover where the coyotes have a hard time.
A male gray fox will travel up to 50 miles to set up a territory. And a pair which is believed to mate for life will defend a territory of 2-3 square miles.
A male red fox will travel 100-150 miles to set up its own territory. Breeding season for both is January-March.The one you have seen, I’m guessing a male, could very well have been run out of a certain area by another male competing for a female and is looking for his own place and a vixen to boot.
A piece of trivia for you: A gray fox is capable of climbing trees and have been seen as high as twenty feet. They can also jump from one branch to another. Assuming of course that the branches are big enough. They weigh up to 13 pounds.
Here is some more information on the Buck’s tickets. Tickets will go out to me 1 week before the game or if one would prefer, they can be set up for pick up at will call.
Promotions:
March 7th game against Golden State is FSN-Wisconsin Bucks Adult Cap-available to the first 10,000 fans 18 and older.
April 1st game against the Lakers is Bucks Red Jersey Can Cooler-available to the first 10,000 fans 18 and olderMy wife doesn’t like to cache, however she will on occasion go along if it means a nice hike or some nice scenery provided the vampires are at bay. My daughter hates caching and my son will cache from time to time with me. That being said, we do not plan our vacations around caching. I will, however incorporate caching into our vacations though. Especially if I can add some DeLorme pages, counties, states, etc. Most of the time I will try to keep it short and sweet so that there isn’t much complaining. If I get some time for myself, I will cache a bit more.

Before I go and buy some ammo cans for a couple hides I am planning, I want to make sure they will work for what I need. Are they steel? And has anyone welded things to them, and if so was the steel fairly good thickness so it doesn’t blow thru to easy? Thanks in advance 😈
I’m thinking that they are about 18 gage maybe 20.
I’ll keep me eyes and ears open for you.
Hello Sara, welcome to the cult. What part of the state are you from?

You know Pete Maina? 😯
Sorry, but no. He is on John Gillespie’s Waters&Woods quite often and I saw it on the show this past Sunday.
Just so nobody gets any bright ideas, I don’t keep any of my stuff in the house. I keep it all in a locker in the middle of the local police department.

Well, today is zoesbrother’s non-virtual half-birthday, so I guess we’ll bring him half of a cake, and since there is nothing at this picnic that he can legally drink except for a 12-pack of cola destined for other things, plus a can of pop with a crunchy wasp in it, we’ll bring along some lemonade, too.
Last month I had a non-virtual whole birthday. I’m still waiting for cake!
