#846 I think.
Our league is a FUN league. Nobody cares who wins…
Nobody cares who wins? “Winning is the only thing”!
I guess I’m an artist.
I currently have 6 DNF’s. If I show up to search for a cache and cannot give it a respectable effort (mosquitos too bad, flooding, muggles, etc.) I will not log a DNF. If I give it a good honest effort and DNF it, I will log a DNF. However, if I don’t get a chance to log until a day or two after the fact, and there has been other finders since my attempt, I usually will not log a DNF. I also will delete DNF logs after I have returned and found them.
Everybody who’s anybody is still hanging around here. I say that only because I’m not on the road trip.
Welcome to the family Andy. Have fun.
I have always pronounced it de-Lorm.
I need beer, I’m farting dust.
I bet it’s in that pine.
That reall sucks. I hope evrything works out ok, and he’s not down for long.
Remember that the very first cache ever hidden for this game had nothing to compare it to, it had to be hidden first so someone could find it. A lot has happened and changed since then. Sometimes the best way to learn is by trial and error on one’s own. Of course I have yet to place a cache of my own. I’m getting closer though, I started to think about it.
I told you, it’s not there!
Not trying to support or hang anybody here, but could there be certain circumstances that may be preventing ones from following up on their responsibilities? I was out of the caching world for a few weeks last winter due to being burglarized. With everything going on at the time with repairs from the break in and dealing with the insurance company, caching never crossed my mind. A cacher in my area had some maintenance to do on one of her caches. The maintenance notes and emails were piling up with no responses from her. As it turned out, she had become quite ill and had been in and out of the hospital for a few months. Of course on the other hand, an almost identical situation as above, but instead of being ill, this guy was just lazy.
Glad to hear that you are ok.
We usually have a lot of feral cats around our house. I haven’t seen any in some time now. I don’t mind having them around though. I haven’t found any dead birds around from them, but I sure notice a lower mouse popuulation. In late fall when it really starts getting colder outside, the mice start coming in. Last winter all we had was one mouse and he didn’t last too long. If the kittens are around, they will keep an eye on you, but one step towards them and they are gone. Except for one little cutie last fall. It was all by itself, and probably the youngest one I have ever seen out there. I was stretching a tarp over some firewood when I felt something on my ankle. I looked down and this furball is rubbing up against me crying. I think it was hungry, but I wasn’t about to feed the thing or pick it up. I don’t need cats showing up on my porch every day looking for a hand out. Besides, I want them to keep catching mice.
