Well, I for one cannot stand the heat and humidity of late spring through early fall. I will put on some deet if I have to, but I hate to put anything like that on when I am sweaty.
Spring is not bad except for all of the very wet places where the snow melt takes forever to drain and dry.
Winter isn’t bad except when we get a lot of snow and on those days when the air is extremely dry. I would rather put another layer of clothes on if need be. However, I find myself stripping layers off before leaving the vehicle and putting some back on a few minutes after returning.
I guess that leaves fall. The only down side to fall for me is when that cache is in a hollow at the bottom of a tree, or on the ground, and it is covered with leaves. Just about any camo job is twice as effective in the fall. The best part is waking up to a frosty morning with temps in the 20’s. It is just so invigorating after a long hot summer. The sky is as blue as it ever will be, forming a perfect backdrop to the gorgeous colors from falling leaves. I can’t forget about the smell of fall from the ripened wild flowers to the sweetness of the fallen leaves and the wild fruit. And I like the sounds too. The geese honking away as they fly over. The sound of shotgun being fired. And of course, I cannot forget the sounds of screaming, yelling, cheering Badger’s and Packer’s fans.

So to make a long answer short, fall.

Welcome to the cult. I believe there is some kind of eclipse this Friday night, so you ‘re just in time for the sacrifice.

I just found out that it is a solar eclipse so you will be the guest of honor.

I persnonally don’t have any caches out, but in most places you will need to have permission. I believe that there is some type of generic form to use. Most of the cachers that respond in the forums have placed caches and would most likely help you out. Don’t be bashful about asking anything, it won’t be held against you.

So is it now considered a locationless cache? I thought thet were no longer legal.

    Ditto on the above!

Question for those with dial-up. Is it just me, or does it seem that some pages are taking a little longer to load from GC? Maybe they are just a bit busier, but it doesn’t seem to matter if it is afternoon, evening, or later at night. Or am I just imagining this?

Thanks for the updated(?) info tyedye. I have to admit though, I have no idea how to get broken glass fragments out of carpeting without using a vacuum cleaner.

I inquired about cfl disposal at Home Depot yesterday, and they told me to bring them to the service desk where they dispose of them.

    Good point!

Then again, how hard is your carpet if it’ll break a cfl bulb? 😆

It’s not the carpet that breaks it. It’s the dropping it on a chair or table that breaks it and sends pieces flying.

One little oops with one of these and all of that money you would have saved for the year is gone. I am seriously considering going back to incondecents.

Thank you cheesehead. According to the wife, this was some kind of message sent from aol. I am guessing that they have FF as well and are trying to steer customers that way.

Did anyone here get an automated email from FanHouse titled Fantasy Football Season is Coming Fast? I have tried to open it four times now and everytime I get kicked off line. I just want to know if it is junk or something important for FF.

After some heated discussion, the Board has chosen a “stylized g” logo that we think all Wisconsin geocachers will be satisfied with. As an added bonus, merchandise featuring this logo is readily available in stores and some geocachers may already own it (some people, like green&gold, have more than others :)). And there is a good chance you can pick up something with the new WGA logo (and a French verb starting with F meaning “to waffle”) on clearance or at a garage sale in the near future.

I could be wrong here, and I am certainly not a lawyer, but wouldn’t use of this “G” or one very similar to it open up the Association to a lawsuit for a logo infringement or something of the like?

Well, congratulations, anyway. That’s a very impressive feat!

They didn’y tell you that there were only 3 caches in that radius 😆 . Congrats T&B.
