I know nothing about formats and computers, but it looks like a legal description of a piece of property to me.
section 7 township 15 north range 23 east.
That is the one I was going to suggest.
I thought the Michigan DNR finally admitted to a cougar population about a year or so ago. I remember reading about them testing fur and scat found up around L. Superior that confirmed that it wasn’t from a “pet” lion. Apparantly they can tell from dna testing if it is a native or an import (pet). The pets are brought up from Central and South America.
Ever notice how bigfoot is always denied too? The DNR says that we don’t have a moose population too. We only have visiting moose from the UP and Minnesota. Try telling that to the locals up near Drummond. Especially the ones that took pictures of cows with calves.
I haven’t read anything in the paper, but on Wednesday or Thursday of last week, there was a report on the news about the cougar. Apparently the dna tests say that it was not a released “pet” and that it appears to be a natural wild cat. The dna is consistant with that found in wild cougars from South Dakota and the DNR figures that it migrated to Wisconsin. And, judging by the size of the tracks, they guess that it is a male.
Well, furfool-jr finally got started on sorting through his toys. He had a pretty good size box, full I might add, ready to be donated. I asked him if he was keeping any for trading purposes and he said “no”. What a shame. He had dinos, lizards and snakes. He had 6″ tall wrestling figurines. Some junkier stuff too. But what I dug out for some swag is about twenty Match Box and Hot Wheels cars. Some were still in the packages. I wish I could have kept more stuff but he wanted to donate the rest. I’m thinking of a toy car themed cache if we ever find the right place to set one up.
Has anybody put out a cache with a specific theme? And if so, did it stay to that theme pretty well or was it a lost cause after a couple of weeks? The restocking of these toy cars might be a bit pricey after a while.@SammyClaws wrote:
Sorry to hijack this thread, but what do you do with the swag you do trade for? We were keeping it in a “trophy jar” but we are now up to 3 jars and are thinking about packaging the good stuff back up and handing it out at an event as recycle-swag so it can go out an be found again. However, it would be interesting to hear what others do with it?
I will usually trade for something I can use or for something that I know one of the kids would like. If I just make a swap where there is nothing that I can use, I will drop it into another cache.
I must plead guilty to making trades with travel bugs/coins. It just never dawned on me that they are not a trade item. Now that it has been brought to my attention and I think about it, it makes sense. I appologize to those that I have inconvenienced.
#1) Does anybody know who Kilroy was?
#2) I see no character in the ‘vette. Where are the dings and scratches?Welcome to the cult. I hope you enjoy the fun.
What I will remember most is coming home from work to find our house burglarized. Almost two months since it happened and I’m still paranoid whenever I see a stranger in the neighborhood.
I agree that it’s the best way to make chicken too. Have those chicks sewn up right in the cavity, with all the pork drippings soaking in.My mouth is watering. So much better than corned beef and cabbage.
Ready? Hell, this is Wisconsin. I little snow and cold doesn’t stop me from grilling out. Not even the dark of night. I’ve stood out there with a flashlight in my hand many times.
I could use a nice big barbi like that one though. That would make me happy.
Does water in the basement count as a sign of spring?
I saw my first two robins on Monday in Menominee Falls. As for the street sweeper, I haven’t seen one of those in almost three years now. At least not in my part of the city.
Well, I’m a metal fabricator. All I do is bend steel on a press brake either in stiffling summer heat or in freezing cold winter. No, I don’t work outdoors. It just feels like it when the trucks come in.
Currently I’m just trying to fly under the radar and reach the 20 year mark before losing my job. Only eight and a half months to go. So many layoffs do to poor management decisions.
Otherwise, caching gets me outside where I would rather be anyways. I love to do the outdoors thing; hunt, fish, trap. In fact, I have been accused of being born “a hundred years too late”. Probably because I try to be as self sufficient as possible by learning what I can from the outdoors and making do with whatever is around. -
