in reply to: Lab Caches, what do you think? #1974676

We did 6 Lab caches that were put out during Geocoinfest in Las Vegas. A couple were at some interesting out of the way spots and all had some story behind where they were. Reminded us of the old Virtuals. It would be nice if the Virtuals came back with some guidelines.

This was a great trip and made some new caching friends. Its always fun to get to some new areas and try some challenge caches. Thanks to the drivers. Should have some pictures soon.

I am still planning on joining you. Hope there is room. I can also help with the driving. Will there be a place to leave cars at the start?? Sounds like fun.

in reply to: BOD Takes Action on Event Vendors #1965356

Just a few thoughts as a vendor at some events. I prefer the percentage of sales fee. Most of the time this will result in more money for WGA and if sales are not good at a certain event it is an incentive to vendors to attend anyway as there are always some people looking for supplies. We also tend to donate more items to organizers at the percent based fee events. Many of our products are approved by Groundspeak for us to sell so we have to meet a certain quality level. This idea seems like it would be a good way for WGA to raise some extra funds for continuing a no membership fee Association.

    Yes.
We make and sell lots of pathtag displays. Mostly wall plaques but we can do most anything you want. We will also send you a PM.

in reply to: How many people actually find pathtags? #1964264

We have found some in Wisconsin caches but have found more in other states. We trade for many at events and online with other owners. Your tag looks good and we would like to trade for one when you get them.

Munzee is lots of fun. Mostly in areas that couldn’t hold a container. Been to some nice parks that had no place for hides. This is growing fast. Tried Terracaching and both opencaching sites but not much interesting going on.

Read an article a couple weeks ago that Garmin was working on a chirp adaptor for the Iphone. That might help more people.

    in reply to: Laptop—-DeLorme PN-40 compatability #1953784

The problem you see when using send to gps is a known problem. The solution right now is when you get the red circle, click on one of the other tabs such as Magellan and then back to Delorme and it should work. Also make sure you have add ons enabled on the computer so that send to gps is available. Hope this helps.

We have a PN-40 and a Dell laptop and have not had any problems. Does the cable work on other computers? That seems to be a problem for some people.
