oh, great. i KNOW i’m going to have to try this. geo already acts as if he doesn’t know me on occasion. this will send him over the edge.
sometimes if the description is confusing, it helps to click on a few of the pictures. sometimes that gives you a better idea of what to look for.
basic rules of locationless caching apply (unless the cache “owner” implies differently)
1. one entry per cacher
2. each subject can only be logged oncetherefore it is important to make sure that the location you are going to post hasn’t been posted before. to do this, go to the bottom of the page and click on “view them all on one page.” then go to the top of your page to the “edit” button. click edit, then choose the “find in this page” option. a new bar will open up on the bottom of your page (at least that’s the way it works on mine) and there will be a search box……search for key words to make sure you will be the first person to log your location.
i like locationless caches. they’ve really helped me notice a lot more things when i’m traveling.

who would have thought we’d run into the transitive property of addition. wow. you took this to a whole new level, jeff.
because the laudry didn’t get done on laundry day.
can’t get any more unrelated than that.
no, i haven’t…….but i’ve seen quite a few chaches that could have used one of those after being all closed up through an entire wet season and then sitting in the sun…….ewwwwwwww
oooooooooooooooooohh. sounds like fightin’ words!

Ken if you still have this, i’ll buy it from you at the campout. Just think of the nifty caches one could make with a chainsaw.
just think of all the cachers one could scare off with a chainsaw. you’d be guaranteed a first to find every time.
someone should make a geocache scented air freshener….spray or candle or plug in…….that would make someone a lot of money!
not only do they spoil the hiding spots for caches, but if you go to the “travelbug” section of their home page, you could log a whole bunch of bugs for yourself as they didn’t bother to blur the number out.

After watching the episode twice, I’ve got to say I’m somewhat disappointed by the inaccurate way geocaching was portrayed. In particular:1) It was amazing how the lead detective found the cache in like 30 seconds even though it was very well hidden under a pile of leaves… it is never this easy, right. (Maybe this makes sense as he was the only one with a GPS?) They should have shown all the law enforcement personnel present scouring the area looking in obvious locations under, on, and around the footbridge… then comparing GPS readings, checking the hints, performing a “grid search”, cursing the foliage and GPS gods for poor signal strength, etc.
2) It was a group hunt, yet a “finder’s tree” was not employed. After finding it, the male detective should have stepped aside… and eventually he would start laughing at/taunting the others. The female detective should have been the last one searching, and finally she’d lose it… “just show me where the darn box is!”
that made me giggle…….except for the part where the woman should be the last one searching. that didn’t make me giggle. (well, maybe a little).
woohoo! great job!
oh, that’s just plain wrong.
welcome!
bathrooms are to the left. kitchen is to the right. please make sure the toilet seat is down when done.
thanks.
i saw that one, too, as well as a few others….and i agree with you. that is something that really bothers me. you can let this fester inside of you, you can let it go, or you can do something within your power about it. if it would make you feel better about it, then put an sba on it. it would be a very constructive response.
rest assured, you’re not alone. the very same thing bugs me, too. people who log a find twice (or more) on a cache bothers me too. for example, someone finds a cache themselves, and then later (days, months, whatever), logs that they were out with their daughter and she found it…….but it’s under the username who already logged a find.
under 18 age-wise? or maturity-wise?
cuz if it’s maturity-wise, count geo and me in!
