we’re not paperless either. i figure we don’t look geeky enough with the gps hanging around one of our necks, backpack on back, hiking boots, little bag of swag, etc., while looking over our shoulders ever two seconds to make sure we aren’t being watched, as we are kneeling down on small, sharp stones hanging off a bridge over a small, rocky creek, looking for a small, magnetic box hidden somewhere in one of fifty seven crevices……..so we also carry a pocket pc. it completes the picture.

i’ve used paper, and i like doing so, however i’m not able to be as “spontaneous” as i can with the pocket pc.

of course, it’s always important to remember that a paperless caching is not as useful as paper caching when nature calls.

    great job!

hey, i’m logging here not only to say congrats for the first 100 (it’s exciting to get that first milestone), but congrats on picking such a cute name!

and put lots of sticks over the freezer, too. either that, or wrap it in camo tape.

    nice idea for a thread.

we like to leave rocks…….we get packages of polished rocks from oriental trading company and package them so they are a little more water tight. oriental trading also has rocks called “break your own geode.” i remember being so facinated by rocks when i was a kid (apparently i still am much to geo’s dismay….especially when we are hiking down from devil’s lake with an already heavy pack!). we’ve also done the magic 8 balls. i’ve also made “fortune tellers” or “cootie catchers” (whichever one they were called when you were younger) as a kind of gimmick on how to find a cache.

congrats! great reason to “toot your own horn”

    way to go.

    definitely ditto!

geodawn so far has cached in the states of WI, MN, and IA.

sometimes we’ve chached in the state of confusion, too. but please don’t add that to the list. thanks.
