I love the artwork and what it adds to the profile. It appears the Lake Superior – Northwoods badge doesn’t load right in the profile or when you click on it from the biomes page.
Congratulations all the way around!
Congratulations! Any milestone at Hartman Creek SP is a great one. Happy caching!
Congratulations on #3500! Kohler-Andrae was a nice park and a great state park cache placement. Great choice!
Thanks everyone! A visit to the Rock is in order very soon. Perhaps Sunday? We shall see how it all shakes out.
Congratulations on 4K, Sherry! I wish I could have made it over on Sunday but it just didn’t quite work out.
Somehow I missed this one. Congrats, although by now you are probably closing in on 7K!
Congratulations on 4K, Jim! Hope to see you around this summer.
It looks like I am going to be braving the cold weather forecasted for tomorrow and heading onto the mirror with my kayak. The park manager gave me an idea centered on an area that is locally called The Devil’s Post Office and may be able to be turned into some sort of a water based offset cache. Unfortunately it sounds as if that area is not open to foot travel, so all may not be able to enjoy it. Stay tuned….
Weather and time permitting I will see about getting a kayak geocache…or two, or three…placed next Saturday. I think that we can likely paddle up and down Dell Creek from Mirror Lake, so hopefully there will be a couple decent spots where a cache could be placed. We shall see…
OK, 7 have been placed and that is probably all I will get done. The caches won’t publish for a while, so here are the coords for anyone who is planning to put more in so you don’t spin your wheels. My cache pages have been written up, but they have not been submitted for review.

N43 33.665 W089 49.312At least two weeks ago now I had a day when I pulled 13 of them off the dog and me. Today we were at Mirror Lake and I have had 4, my wife 3, and the dog we stopped counting. A friend told me that he read an article indicating that the harsh winter will actually make the ticks worse this year. It seems counterintuitive, but it sure seems to be starting out that way.
I was planning to head down there today to concentrate on the Northwest Trail and across the street in the Beaver Pond area/Fern Dell Trail. However, the nastiness of the thunderstorms has kept me away. I think from a “showing off the park” standpoint there should be some more placements along the Ishnala Trail.
I am planning to get down to Mirror Lake to place a few caches this coming weekend. I will be focusing mostly on the Northwest Trail area and areas west and south of there, and am working on a cache that will involve the natural area in the Fern Dell Gorge (assuming it gets approved). I don’t have much time otherwise to get in there before the event as I am headed out on a training deployment in late April.
My top 17 are all non-traditionals before finally getting to a traditional.
3 of my top 4 are (were) Wherigo caches.
7 of my top 15 were challenge caches.
4 of my top 15 were multicaches.
I don’t like the number 10, so I used 15. 😯 -
