My last action as a BoD and Forum admin…. 😥
Topic Closed.
See This Forum Post to help out these fine geocachers on the Left Coast.
Looking forward to the minutes of the meeting and I’m happy to see the new board in office… Now if we can just get that awful picture of the old BoD off the website… 😀
Thanks for your time Jeremy.
Yeah its been awhile…
Unfortunatley the DOT wanted us to have the signs up before going out to do the pickups because the safety signs attach to the road signs or something like that….
That’s why we didn’t have an event this year. They didn’t have the signs up until Octoberish.
K0rpl has volunteered to help me out with organizing the NE Pickup for next year so watch the events listing.
Thanks for the patience…
Hootie! Hoo! Great Find!
Congratulations! 🙂
On the positive side of this issue, I ran into the (friends of, supposedly) muggles who had just plain stolen my cache, GCJPG0. I spoke with them and they just “happened to remember it being there”, and they “were pretty sure they knew the guy that took it”. I asked them kindly to talk to him and see if he could return it because it was a game that we played and other folks were going to be coming to look for it and sign the log. They mentioned that they “had signed the log, too, when they found it”. Is told them that was great, I didn’t mind them recording their nearby fish adventures in the log, but “the cache was mine and I really needed it back”.
Having no real faith in ever seeing that cache again I didn’t come to check on it in a week like I had told them I would; but eventually got around to checking the area as I was checking for remnants of another nearby cache, too. Lo and behold, there in a willow tree was the cache; returned safe and sound.
I do have to say that little things like that tend to restore my faith in the youth of today. 🙂
I’m a big fan of Thunderbird/FireFox… not sure what little graphics aren’t getting sent? Prior to that I tolerated Outlook Express.
“One… two… Five!”
“Three, sir!”
“THREE!”
Thanks again, everyone.
I’m hoping to get past this one little hitch here and then everything should be up and running smoothly again!
What jeremy said is what my Hosting folks eventually came up with as the problem/solution. SSL is currently off at WayTags.com but that shouldn’t worry anyone as all transactions are handled through PayPal and they are as secure as Fort Knox.
The Apostle Paul visited the congregation at Antioch, and I’ve read one or two of his books!
Wow! Small World! 😆
Yep, that’s the error I keep getting in FF and not getting in IE. ugh!
Thanks!

Everything depends on how much money/time you have…
If you don’t have a lot of money you will spend a lot of time.
If you don’t have a lot of time, you should plan on spending some money and paying someone to do it right.Best HTML (and other web authoring languages) info resource is Here. The interface is a bit clunky and is written by guys with absolutely no personality; but the info is all there.
My HTML Editor is relatively easy to use (slight learning curve involved), free, and is WYSIWYG. Nvu
WayTags.com Shopping Cart is Zen Cart. Zen Cart is one of the finest free Shopping Carts around. There is a fantastic support network via print (The Zen-Cart book advertised on their front page), FAQ’s, Forums, and tutorials. Zen Cart also is open source so there are plenty of user contributions that improve the overall product.
If you are going to be teaching yourself, better invest in a good coffee maker, bean grinder and a comfortable computer desk chair. The time involved in learning what needs to be done can be tremendous.
As I understand your OP, you have two goals. One is to update the site. Another is to get the store running. It looks as if you’ve already got a “functioning” store on the site, so Zen Cart may or may not be your answer. If you decided to go that way, though; let me know as I’d be happy to help you out… I’ve become quite familiar with it :D. As for updating the site itself; an HTML editor and a good basic HTML book and resource site (see above) should get the job done.
Good Luck!
Must have walked through some last weekend, too. Had the little guy along, but he’s OK cuz he was riding on my shoulders! Good thing!
This time isn’t anywhere near as bad as the first time I had a reaction two years ago.
It’s more annoying than anything!

We use to share Packer season tickets with my (Cathy) brother, but since geocaching, we have given up spending the time and mega bucks on a schedule set up by the NFL, sitting in weather for hours that may or may not be comfortable, and witnessing one team win and one team lose.
Agree, there. I used to go to every home game on my families tickets (I “own” a seat up there cuz I coughed up the $1400 user fee to keep the ticket in the family). Now I will only go to the first and the last games of the season and maybe one in between. I can’t quite justify spending that kind of money on something when I could spend tremendous amounts less doing something I enjoy even more! (and I can still listen to Wayne and Larry in the car!)
