Let’s put the Hwy20 I94 to 90th segment on our list then.

Any other suggested areas in Racine County or any other counties anyone would like to nominate?

Which of the Assistants are you working with? I used to work for the Park and Rec as a Lifeguard several years ago and still know one or two of the folks in the office.

I will be able to go to the meeting with you. Keep me posted.

Yeah, this is all temporary. Though I think the last thing we need is another forum… 😆

Very little of anything required. Currently the agenda looks like prioritizing a list of new website addons/updates and beta testing the storefront and registration process for the campout. Help out when you can! Thanks for volunteering!

Thanks for the info, srvive. (And welcome to the forums!)

The Community Education Committee has been notified of this and should be getting on top of things. If you would like to help out with this or nay of the other items of business that will come that way, volunteer to help in the Announcements Forum!

Wow, I was just going to add you before you had to reply, but you beat me to it!

    Thanks for helping!

OK, sounds like Racine County will be at least one of our choices…

I’ve posted a .pdf file below that has the openings for Racine County. Let’s try to narrow that down to one, two or three by the end of the week. Go ahead and make suggestions below.

If there are other counties or preferences, I can post them as well; but this is a great start!

Something to keep in mind is that much of the work (as far as what needs to happen at the location we end up choosing) is already done by the DOT. There is a workplan that we will need to follow for the locations we choose that will detail everything from where we start, to where to park, to what signage and other safety issues may be present in that particular stretch of highway.

Thanks for the input so far! Keep it coming!

Doh! Thanks for the Heads Up! 😳

Now that I’ve fixed that, I’ve also found that the site displays differently in IE and Firefox… Double Thanks! 😀

Thanks for the kind words! I am really excited about this and am enjoying helping out the geocaching community this way. I am always looking for events to sponsor to help get the word out so if anyone knows of anything, feel free to let me know here or at our Contact Page.

See the SE Region Forums to help choose a highway segment in Milwaukee, Kenosha, Racine, Ozaukee, Walworth, Washington, or Waukesha Counties!

NE Region will need to wait until I receive the info…

TRIGO comes close to what you’re thinking. Maybe they have some advice about (dis)organization.

in reply to: Free Geocoins #1871362

The instructions were clear, Marc. Only legitimate organizations could get them…

So the WGA asked for and received about ten of them and of course we just kept them for the Board and the webmasters… 😉

    Better luck next time! 😆

    Friends are always welcomed!

Yes, we will have registration set up soon where you will be able to register for the event and for the two evenings of camping at the group sites.

If you’re not a group camper, you can reserve a family site at the park or “Trudy Camp” at an area Motel6. Or, just come for the day!

Either way we welcome anyone and everyone!
