Group Camp is the only way to go!
Awesome showing Mike! I love the new headwear!
Thanks for posting, Chad.
The Board of Directors is just now implementing some strategies to take care of many of your concerns. Several of our Board folks I know have emailed you privately, I just wanted to post here that we’re on top of things and will be working with our members to help educate our communities about geocaching, that will include our Park and Rec Departments.
Thanks for your thoughts. I look forward to a great working relationship between the WPRA and the WGA.
While its not an huntable cache per se, there is always Wisconsin’s Geocaching Holy of Holies….
The First Geocache Placed in WI
It is a beautiful area, I’ve been there a couple of times, though not yet in the winter.

🙄
Thanks Bob! We’re really looking forward to a year that is rocking and rolling!
We would love to have you back! We sure had a blast the last time we were at Hartman Creek! Hope you can join us.
I have the 210 and I believe you have to go to one of the middle tabs (sorry don’t have GSAK installed on this ‘puter) and look for “export to eXplorist”. This will create a file for loading onto the GPSr.
You don’t actually connect up with GSAK. You just create a file that you would load into the eXplorist. Just transfer the file like you would any other when you plug the eXplorist into the USB it will show up as another “drive”.

Just an observation and not a suggestion really, but the MnGCA uses paper ballots sent out by the Board and sent back in by the voters in their annual elections.
I personally check close to a dozen email addresses every week.
Would I then get a dozen ballots if I created a dozen accounts.
12emails x 6votes = a bigger mess than COTY!
Better yet I could just spoof ballots from members emails that I know and then we could sort out two or three ballots cast by the same email address!
Oui!
I like the idea of a reminder email, but still think we will have better luck keeping control of the election process if it remains entirely internal.
More definitively, it means that 933 WGA Member accounts have been created and are current, allowing the account holder to vote in the BoD election.
Don’t worry; you’re not the only one to suggest this. I believe this may be an issue that board will have to deal with this year. Though many like our current logo, I, like you, feel it could use a bit of a “sprucing up” to bring it to a more modern level.
Feel free to submit any artwork to any board member. We’re always accepting suggestions.
I have yet to vote; it is not any easy choice.
I would simply add that there is quite a bit of work that has needs to be done to bring the WGA up to its full potential. I will continue to do everything I can as a Board member to help the WGA achieve everything it should. A strong Association will translate into great geocaching in WI.
Thank you for your vote.

So if I had 5 user names, I could cast 30 votes? Sorry to throw a monkey wrench into the works.
That is the monkey wrench in the works… Multiple user names per user.
Certainly an argument for charging a nominal fee (say $1 or $2) for membership. The problem is that people who would be willing to cheat on a board election would probably be willing to pay the extra money.
Exactly what I had posted in the BoD Forums earlier. It wouldn’t solve all the problems but it wouldn’t hurt any either. As you can imagine there is plenty of talk about potential fixes. This will not be a problem in the future…
Though, my wife would like to cast a vote in the BoD Elections (not sure who she’s voting for 😆 )…
But she doesn’t log geocaches under a separate account.
Also, the bylaws state that:
@WGA Bylaws wrote:An active member shall be defined as an individual at least sixteen (16) years of age who registers with the WGA annually and who has a residence in the state of Wisconsin.
emphasis added
The select few who are watching the BoD elections are keeping a very close eye on everything and at this point there are no reported problems nor do I foresee any.
