So how do you calculate the miles on that travel bug?
It probably had the record for most miles the first day it was up there!

Perhaps if our elected officials someday learn to work together, instead of playing politics to protect their phony-baloney jobs, some of those issues might start to be solved. However, it would be unthinkable to turn our backs on the victims of a massive disaster like the one in Haiti simply because we have unsolved problems here.
IMHO, If you want to see true bi-partisanship, elect a truely independant President.
How many stations carried the benefits and fund raisers for New Orleans? I don’t remember it being on so many staions, but my memory could be wrong.
There is a thread about this subject on the gc.com forums. There might also be some info on the GSAK forums too.
When we went to Maui we were only going to stay on that island so it was easy to load up the GPS with all of the caches. After that I went through them all to pick the ones that I knew I wanted to do. We were still using paper at that time so I had the pages printed out and took them along. The rest of them were nice to haves. I ended up getting my first FTF on the virtual TerraCache A Contemptlative Stroll.
Last year when we went out to Zion I did pretty much the same thing but included caches along the route from Las Vegas to Zion as well as several along the strip. Since all of them would not fit into the GPS, I picked ones to load and had the rest loaded onto the Palm so I could do a search by coordinates and then load them as needed. This has been my best week so far with 30 finds.
On our more frequent trips to Springfield I usually load up the GPS with caches along the route and within a 5-10 mile radius of Grandma’s Bed and Breakfast. If I have time to grab a few I will, but it’s always nice to be prepared.
I always have more caches loaded than really needed on trips.[/url]
There’s another freaky clown that I don’t care to see again! 😈
Welcome Cushdog5.
Check out the local Kenosha geocaching forums on ikrug.com and stop in to the local coffee clutch on Thursday mornings if you can.
What’s Facebook? 😀
Never had the inclination to join.
’67 Mustang coupe, 302 v8 Auto.
Ibought it from a guy who had used it in his high school shop class. It had 50 series tires on the back and extensions on the rear quarters that came straight out from the side so that all of the tires were covered.
Il State police made me take it off of the road because the front suspension was collapsing. Used parts of it to make my second car, a 67 Mustang coupe, drivable.
I just recently sold the second one. The first one was cut up for scrap but I still have the title.
And now I have to spend twice as much to get that 3-4 year old used car for my daughter to drive to school.
Looks like she will be waiting until she gets out of college before she gets a car!
Cash for Clunkers is just giving the auto industry the money to buy themselves back from Uncle Sam.
They were already bailed out by the government becoming a partner. Now that government is giving them free money to pay back the government.
Sum Total, US Taxpayers are out the original bailout money + any of the rebates that went to foreign car companies!

Just the opposite, I’m looking for that $1000 dollar clunker!
Good luck with that. They have to seize the engine as part of the recycling.
Not sure where I belong. My wife wanted to get the GPS to try geocaching and I was the one who got hooked.
We’re not real outdoorsy or campy. I would prefer a nice hotel or cabin to a tent and a campfire. I use it now as an excuse to get out of the house with or without the dog.
This really applies to both my need to get out and get some exercise and my Techie side. I program computers so that part came easy.
GSAK does have a Macro available to export your database to a KML.

We were walking in the area where I found the letterbox mentioned earlier in this thread. As we walked by I checked and it was still there. It had been hidden a little better than when I found it the first time. It is no longer visible from the trail.
