I’ve been looking around and haven’t been able to find anything yet except a generic, one size fits all set-up. If I can’t find anything else, that just might have to do.
You mean this old thing?

Took a look at the other pics. Looks nice. And the blue shows a lot better in some of the other angles. Any upgrades planned yet? 😈
Side note: Are roof racks suppose to have cross bars on them? I don’t think mine does 😕
Any updates yet?
And I think the term is “Mitsubishi Mates.”
Just think, it’s like you’re Black Beard and I’m Long John Silver.
Or, we could be Spy Vs Spy 😆Sweeeeet. 😀
<1-1 mile: 1 unfound
1.1-5 miles: 40 unfound
5.1-10 miles: 69 unfound
10.1-20 miles: 910 unfoundNot going any further. No PQs here either, so that was all done counting on the GC page (took me 60 pages to get past 20 miles!)
And the winner is……’03 Mitsubishi Outlander! We just decided that it was the best vehicle for us at this point in our lives. The increase of ground clearance and AWD is great for winter. And the cargo storage works great for transporting animals and other what not stuff. AND, and….I can get a kayak 🙂
Amazing job. Congrats!
We both are leaning mostly toward the ‘yota. It’s not very performance oriented (has the 1.8L) but it looks nice and gets about 30mpg. That’s definitely nothing to scoff at 🙂
So yeah, no go on the Outback. The gf had a look at it and just wasn’t feeling it. She kind of a perfectionist, so everything has to be perfect (or darn near!) And so the hunt continues. We’ve got three more on the list for tonight. We looked at the exteriors yesterday, so today we’ll get inside them and take them for a ride.

If it’s internal size holding you back….. try one out, you will be SHOCKED!!
That being said, all this new car talk has me in the market… we are dropping the 97 explorer….I want a Jeep!
Kinda figured they are roomier than they look. We say the same thing with the Cooper all the time 🙂 I actually wanted a slightly bigger vehicle for the winter seasons. Ground clearance is definitely an issue with a smaller car.
And Good luck with the Jeep! You gonna get one of the new Wrangler Limiteds?@TyeDyeSkyGuy wrote:
Very Nice! If you get it, and after the new car worries go away and you get your first scratch, PLEASE don’t be affraid to take it in the dirt and gravel. You don’t have to beat it to have fun with it. It really will take you to places you’ve never been!
It’s not a brand spankin’ new vehicle, so scratches are not something I’m gonna worry about 🙂 I’d love to take it off the beaten trail, I’ll just have to find a good spot to do it 😈
Linky for the Outback: 2002 Outback

Test drove the two Subarus last night. The Impreza RS is out. It’s in good condition cosmetically, but I just can’t get over the piston slap at low RPMs. And apparently the four cylinders have issues with the heads.
The Outback on the other hand is beautiful all around. It’s the VDC edition, so it’s pretty much top of the line. It was so quiet and so smooth. Gonna take the gf back tomorrow to see if she likes it. If she does, this may be the winner 🙂On a side note, if I do get it, I can finally dust off those old cassette tapes (has cassette and cd!)
Just noticed this, but if you hover you cursor over the buttons up top while writing your post it will display the code directly above the text box.
And the forum uses BBCode because the language it is written in is PHP. The BB stands for Bulletin Board. So basically, since it’s not written in html, html code will not work.
I haven’t even looked for it
