Can’t wait for the site to become more popular. I’ve already cross listed a few go mine that I have on GC. Thanks for all of your hard work!

The reason we had a 10am deadline for Geo-Golf was that we needed time to enter all the coordinates we received. This deadline was listed on the Event Cache Page for months and it was also in the Booklet. Perhaps next year we could include it on the Geo-Golf form itself. If we had more volunteers, perhaps somebody could enter them as they were handed in. But alas, most volunteers had multiple tasks to do over the weekend.
I checked the cache page a few times. It was nice because there was so much information. But at the same time, there was sooo much information 🙂
I’ll just have to plan better next year and pay closer attention. This was my first year and I really had no idea what to expect. Just figured with the number of people that showed up, I probably wasn’t the only one who missed that point 🙂This was my first time at the event. I had a really great time. There are only two things that were sub-par for me (and they are both related):
Turn in deadlines!
-The pick a spot game (I think it was on the form, but I didn’t notice it.)
-The cash drawing raffle ticket. When I picked up my goody bag at 9:15, they just said “here is your ticket.” I didn’t know they were supposed to be in at 10:00. When I came back to the park at 2:00 they were good enough to still put the ticket in for me. Just wish I would have know when I got it. Again, I’m sure it was posted somewhere, but I honestly didn’t know at the time.Other than that, it was a great day. Got to meet a lot of people and even built a small pathtag collection 🙂
The dollar coin holders work pretty well for micro coins. The only thing is that they are a little too thick, so the holder needs to be taped on one end to make sure it will stay closed. This actually worked out pretty good though, because it gave me a place to write the activation code 🙂
Can’t wait for my first Ba$h!
I selected “all of the above,” yet I really think that new membership and retaining membership are the two most important of all.
Trying to bring back “lost” members may be a waste of resources. They chose to leave for whatever reason. If at some time in the future they wish to return, they will. Sure, it may have been the clubs fault they left, but that just means we learn from our mistakes and prevent them from happening again (part of retaining current members.)@Team Deejay wrote:

Just created a new virtual cache with a password required to log.
Let’s go swimming!
Just noticed that it changed the cache type to “Unknown” after it published. I attempted to edit it to virtual, but it just keeps going back to unknown.Water is not an element. Back to chemistry class for you!
Natural elements silly. You know, Earth, Air, Fire and Water? Not chemical elements like oxygen, helium, boron, einsteinium.
Created a fake event cache. Every thing looks good except the Date hidden. It appears as “30 November -1”

Type and Size are both in Polish@RVRoadTrip wrote:
Can you elaborate or show an example of what you mean by “friending” other cachers?
On GC.com, after you look up a user, you can send them a message. One of the check boxes for the sending options is to “send friend request.” There is a link on the my profile that when clicked shows all of my “friends.” It’s a way to quickly reference other peoples stats, or send them messages without having to search for them every time. I guess it’s kind of a watchlist but for cachers instead of caches.
Why are you translating from the Polish version? Wouldn’t it be easier to go from the UK version of OC?
On the Seek A Cache page, if you do not enter in a zip code in the Search by ZIP postal code, if you do not enter a zip code, it give an error page with all sorts of gobildygook on the top of the screen. Could probably change the wording to just ZIP code too. Postal code is general associated with international.
Hopefully I’m not being too critical on some of these things. I just want to see Groundspeak have a competitor that can give it a run for it’s money, so to speak. And the only way to do that is to have something nice and polished. Small errors in translation and syntax might turn some people away.
Will there be a way to “friend” other cachers?
Translations needed:
On the statistics page:
-in the first section
–the third linked page is not translated
–the fourth linked page is not translated-in the second section:
–the first linked page is not translated
–the second link is only partially translated
–the second linked page is not translated
–the fourth linked page is partially translated-in the third section
–neither linked page is translatedOn the watched caches page under the date and delete fields there are two links in Polish.

Doesn’t appear to be becoming to popular yet. CodeJunkie has the most recent cache posted. And that was two days ago.
Not putting down the site, or the effort, still haven’t had a chance to check it in full.
Right now we are the test group. Once all/most of the bugs are fixed, the site will go “live.” Not many people know about it yet.
Am I right in thinking that?
Great turn out! That means that with the presale coins (+6,) all costs are covered. The extra 174 is pure profit. Great fund raiser for the club and great collectibles for us 🙂
