Just a few user issue things:
1. Is there a way to change the date format? dd/mm/yyyy (9/8/2010) is okay, but most people in the States are more familiar with mm/dd/yyyy (8/9/2010.)
2. I logged a note for OU0002 Forsyth Park and it showed up on the cache page as a comment. On the found/not found/etc… stats shown on the page there are categories for both. Perhaps change the wording in the log options to comment? Also, when I clicked on the link for notes on that stats column, on the next page there is a link to see a description of cache notes. I clicked it and the page is not up yet.
3. When entering profile information, it would be nice to have a “find me” option for entering home coordinates. I’ll be honest, I had to look mine up on GC.com. On a related note, can the default longitude be set to West instead of East? I’m sure more than a few people would miss that little detail without the auto fill-in option.
4. One of the attribute icons is for a flashlight. In Europe they call it a torch. Maybe change the wording? Small thing, I know.
That’s all I’ve found for now. But don’t worry…I’ll keep looking 🙂
If you do sign up, be careful. My activation email was directed to the spam folder (yahoo.)

Using the term geocaching is not a copyright infringement. The term was specifically registered by Groundspeak so that its use could not be restricted by another entity.
I did not know this. I looked at their site and it does only specify the GC images as being restricted. Using the term geocaching would definitely work to your advantage. It’s something current cachers can identify with.
From what I can tell, it is there to designate the type of news. I only see two types though: Organization News and Media Coverage.
A few points:
-While Geocaching/Groundspeak does offer a paid membership, they do not require it to use their site/services.
-If I’m reading correctly, Opencaching is intended to be a stand alone database site for the listing of caches. If this is the case, the use of the term “Geocaching” would be a copyright infringement.
-If this is simply a cross posting site, what is the point if it offers nothing new/different than the existing Geocaching.com site?
I think you’re right. I’ve got so much random knowledge crammed in my head it tends to bleed at the edges a little 🙂
I think that’s the original Italian Job with the MINI.
And did you know that in NT2, that whole park where the president asks Nick Cage if he looked at page 47 was all ad libbed? They just made it up on the fly and the guys in charge liked it enough to keep it.Thanks Ed!
Was I suppose to write my email down if I wanted to get the list? I thought that was people wanting to join the WGA…
Is the list of trackable codes being sent individually? I’m seeing a few hits on the coin I brought, but I suppose those people might have written the codes down themselves.
Had a lot of fun and got to meet a few of you for the first time. Even found a cacher that lives in the same apartment complex as me!
Holy cow…almost 100 trackables registered! Gonna be lots to look at 🙂
Okay, okay…I see where you are coming from s|s. The three actors you mentioned were the three that intrigued me the most. Statham and Willis are two of my favorite actors. The both of them in the same movie is something I’ve been dying to see. I think the only thing that would be better is watching them battle each other. Wait, there is one thing that could be better: throw Richard Dean Anderson in the mix 🙂
And to be frank, I honestly can’t remember the last time I shelled out to watch a movie in the theater. To me, this is one of those movies that you know will have absolutely no plot. Just a bunch of the aforementioned explosions as well as lame jokes and jabs, with maybe some innuendo to certain famous characters previously portrayed. It will be one of those movies you just sit back and laugh your @$$ off at. So no, it will not be intellectually stimulating, but it will be emotionally cleansing.
True, but I have a feeling there is going to be a LOT of explosions. You just can’t beat that on the big screen 🙂

I don’t think that having the instructions in the original post makes a difference one way or the other. The recipe for these bombs is easy enough to find on the internet.
But if somebody does a search, do we really want our site to come up in the results? Better safe than sorry if you ask me.
