I’m WAY late to the post party on this one, but I had to archive a fun little night cache I placed not too long ago here because someone stole it twice! Both ammo cans gone. It wasnt like someone randomly came across them either. Kinda put a sour taste in my mouth. Grrrrrr.

How does someone that was only a “casual football fan until 2001” get this great honor?? OMG, the fix was in.

Congrats to all. Great names on that list. More good things to come for the WGA.

Hey all, I know we’ve been MIA on the board for a while. Glad I checked in to look for the campout dates. So is the WGA going to reserve group sites as in the past, and then we just pay the WGA to hold our spot on the group site? We can’t wait for another (hopefully dryer) campout this coming year.

And here I thought this thread was going to have pics of Demi Moore in it…..what a disappointment. 😆

I’ll be in the minority, but I’d pay double that and still be content. That membership is supporting an activity that brings me great pleasure in life. And since I don’t see the entire staff of Groundspeak vacationing on the Riviera, I’ll assume they are putting it toward at least partially serving me. I would expect more service or content for my dollar.

Well yeah, we would probably pay it, but no need to tell THEM that. lol
    Bad negotiating skills there. 😀

Very interesting, I had no idea. That entire statute makes for interesting reading. You learn something new everyday. Thanks for sharing that.

Thank you for the reminder, almost forgot.

I think I will stay away from the “our own average ecommerce explanation underneath”. Sounds too adult only, and is too similar to the “ecommerce reach-around” that they were offering last month. I believe you can get the “explanation underneath” in the red light district of Amsterdam at a much more reasonable rate. 😆

Well that is certainly a twist on something I didn't say, nor infer. We obviously differ in our opinions and I'm completely OK with that. I'll agree to disagree which is the beauty of our free country.

Amen to that. See, we DO agree on something. 😉

An old proverb for you pro-watcher types: Quis custodiet custodes ipsos? (“Who watches the watchers?”)

That line of reasoning assumes the function of privacy is to hide something. Privacy is a freedom, not a burglar’s mask. Also, That statement is basically a false dichotomy – the same kind of conundrum as “you’re either with us or against us.” It presents a false choice: you are either guilty of something and therefore have a reason to hide it, or you are not guilty of anything and therefore have no reason to hide anything. It is based on the (false) premise that privacy’s sole purpose is to conceal wrongdoing, and it excludes the possibility that someone may be innocent of any wrongdoing buy may still want to conceal their activities. Why? Because something is embarrassing, but not wrong. Something may be deeply personal.

Sheeple (a portmanteau of “sheep” and “people”) is a term of disparagement, in which people are likened to the herd animals sheep.
The term is often used to denote persons who voluntarily acquiesce to the perceived consensus of the “herd” (other people in the group), without critical analysis or sufficient research to understand the ramifications of that decision. By doing so, Sheeple embrace beliefs and undertake actions without a sound foundation for doing so.

**We the sheeple of the United States, in order to form a more socialistic, humanistic government, establish true social justice, insure politically correct speech, provide for the complete disarming of all Americans, promote the general welfare state, and to secure the blessings of servitude to our beloved government forever do hereby decimate and subvert the Constitution of the United States.**

If you believe your employer is not entitled to keep track of their vehicles and employees while on the clock…

Yup, that’s what I believe. It’s funny how these same businesses did just fine before without utilizing a Big Brother spying system. So I’m all for anything that gets “the man” out of my hip pocket. And good luck to anyone figuring out that a jamming device is being used. Especially with how glitchy those systems are all on their own.

I just got the GPS blocker in the mail. It got to me in a business week, not bad considering it comes from Hong Kong! It really works. And works well. Its very well made too. Solid construction, has a green light when the unit is swithed on, and a red light on the bottom to show its charging. It came with 2 chargers ( a car charger and a wall charger). nice and small unit, about 3.5-4 inches long, barely 2 inches wide and about 3/4 inch thick. I used it at work tonight, and I could see my vehicle on the company GPS map. As soon as I turned on the unit, my vehicle was instantly frozen on the GPS map. Its so cool. As soon as I click the switch off, my vehicle jumps on the map to whereever I actually am. It doesnt seem to interfere with any other electrical signals in my vehicle, including my phone. I dont know how long it lasts on one charge yet, but I cant see people leaving this in a cache becaus the rechargable unit would die too fast. It does no good without power. Ok, just wanted to give my plug to this product. Very neat thing, and it works (for now anyway). Cheap too. Thanks for posting this.
