Thats pretty impressive that someone would even make the effort to post that. (as opposed to it ending up on eBay) There’s still hope for this world yet. 😆

These are very nice tags. Great design. Hope we can do a trade when we get our new ones next year.

Looks like we will make it. Is this children friendly usually? we have what will be a 2 year old by the time the camp out comes along. We dont know any of you in person yet, so it would be a nice ice breaker before the August mega event too. Is it Spring yet????

Yep, very kid friendly and getting more so. Zumette will be there, having just turned 2 as well. I expect that we will have a bunch of kids of all ages there.

Also, I should mention that last year, Cheeto and family made a concerted effort at each of our events to have things at the event of interest to families. I would expect this trend to continue.

Thats great to hear. We are looking forward to it. Thanks for all the info and we look forward to seeing more details as the committee gets rolling and gets this off the ground.

When I die, I already told my wife I want my headstone to be a cache container and a secret compartment on it for the ultimate “evil” hide. One last send off to all my fellow cachers. 😉

Like the design and the idea. If the backings are available when I get my pathtags ordered I will use it.

They are already available. I just placed two orders with them on the backs. Cant wait to see them in person.

Ohhh, ok got it. So if I see a vehicle with one on it, do we actually log it as discovered on GC.com? If so, how do you do that? I know how to enter a trackable in a cache as discovered (but not retrieved), but never have yet been exposed to a trackable vehicle. Maybe I will just retrieve your car, it will be easier to log that way. 😉

in reply to: Tag Backs #1937728

Got the Pathtag fever here. The wife just came up with a great new design for a tag and will be submitted tonight as well. So we will have 2 orders coming with the new WGA backing on it. Cant wait. I will post the new tags blueprint on the forum here when we get it from Pathtags.

Ok, this is a serious question:

Has anyone EVER heard of a non-hunter getting shot by a hunter during gun deer season?

    Do deer count as non-hunters? 😉 😉

in reply to: Tag Backs #1937725

Just placed a re-order with some changes and the WGA tag back is now on the site and ready to be ordered. Very cool. I changed our metal from silver to gold and added the WGA backing. Can’t wait to see these bad boys. 😆

😯 I was told there wouldnt be any math on this exam….

in reply to: Searching Etiquette #1938710

Thanks all. On this same note, how does the searching etiquette apply at group events or mega events when multiple groups or people are searching for the same cache? Is it a race to get it, or a casual laid back type atmosphere? We havent been to any group events yet, so just curious.

The best way to get the message out across statewide departments would be to contact he states attorney generals office wih our concerns, as they are the highest law enforcement body in the state, and things come down to us from there. The state attorney general sends us memos and important updates when there is something important to be shared to all law enforcement personnel. I think this is an important topic and they hopefully will feel the same way. Hope his is helpful.
