That coin is just awesome, we are jealous.
Yeah, this is victory thats going to be with Packer fans for a long time, especially because it took beating the Bears once to get into the playoffs, then again in the NFC championship game to get there!! Just amazing. What a ride it was huh? Cant wait til we have a “healthy” team next year.
(k, now send that code over so we can disover that beauty) 😆
Thats weird, i did it just before you guys and i got my back issue i ordered, but havent gotten the new one yet….hmmm.
I do love it though, very colorful and full of fun stuff. The Nov/Dec issue I got had things about Sweetlife and The Sandman in it. A couple of our WGA members are famous!
Geeze, i wish I wouldve gotten a commission for making this thread… 😀
Booooooooooooooooooooooooooo 🙁
Nicely worded correspondance Ralph.
I like how Bob fails to name specific states that he says discourage geocaching at their rest areas. He just speaks in typical politically correct generalities that cant be proven or backed up. UNLIKE Ralph’s fine example’s that are specific, with backed up sources.

One thing you didn’t mention was durability. The 62C and it’s marine brother, the 78S, are pretty much bulletproof. My 76 has been dropped off a cliff several times (I needed my GPS hand to prevent ME from falling over), dropped in Lake Michigan, slid down a sledding hill with the back off, and even used by my wife to break her fall on a concrete sidewalk (she tripped over a chalk line). Still works great, although the paint is pretty scratched up. The Oregon model is not quite as rugged, which is basically the result of having a touchscreen and less rugged components.
Durability is NOT an issue with the 550 platform. I have its golf G5 cousin and is the exact same gps and it is BULLETPROOF as well as water proof. I throw this thing on the ground over 30 times a round while golfing, and it just begs for more abuse. I also own the 550, and have accidently dropped it on rocks and into a river, into deep snowbanks, and its no worse for wear. The only thing I would say is a MUST for any touchscreen is a Zagg products touchscreen protector. It’s a film that goes on over your screen, and is BULLETPROOF protection for the screen, it has a lifetime warranty. This stuff is used by the military. It’s awesome. And the sensitivity of your touchscreen isn’t effected. I have it on all my ipods, Gpsrs, and our smartphones. I can’t speak to the 62 series, but the Oregon platform is a pretty rugged unit. So far so good anyway.
Yeah, sorry about that. I wasn’t even trying to make a link, I was just saying what the site address was, and it turned it into a link on it own. 😥
I haven’t found any others, they claim to be the only print magazine out there that is dedicated 100% to geocaching.
well I did win one of your great tags, the one that looks like your avatar on this forum, I cant wait to have it in the collection. I saw that thistle tag went for $51.00 !!! WOW, and congrats on the successful sale. Some of those tags went way over my tag auction budget, but I was happy to see the prices go up so high for you and your family.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your mom as well.
I was actually going to send you an email letting you know that someone has been posting your tags for sale on eBay…lol…turns out its you….i wouldve felt dumb there.
I’ve already been making bids, i keep getting outbid, but I will try to pounce as the auctions get closer to ending. Its nice to know that its going for a great cause and something meaningful.
Again, our best wishes and prayers to you, mom, and your family.
Welcome welcome, we also are a caching team in the Milwaukee suburbs and do almost all our caching with our, now 2 year old girl, in tow. It limits our winter caching, but she loves the adventures when the weather isnt too threatening. The WGA has treated us so kind thus far, so many great people, always willing to lend a hand or give good advice on things.
I would have to throw my vote over to the Garmin Oregon 550. Its so easy to either dowload Pocket Queries, or individual caches at the click of a button and cable to the computer. Its very geocaching friendly. The camera is also very handy to have, and nothing beats its ruggedness and waterproof design. I also use my Android EVO 4G phone with the Groundspeak app and the c:geo app. The phone is great for on the fly cache runs and also excellent turn by turn navigation, along with up to the minute updates on caches and being able to post logs from the field. I think the use of both technologies has made our experiences great and very easy for us entering this hobby. I’m a tad Garmin biased, having a NUVI and the Garmin Approach G5 (Golf dedicated GPS unit), but its so simple and self explanitory to use, we love it.
Thanks for the warning and heads up. We cache with our 2 year old, and she loves to run and play as we all explore new caching areas, I don’t even wanna think about her stepping in or falling on a trap of any size, with or without teeth. I’ve never even thought about that danger out there. It may be rare to run into one, but I appreciate the eye opener on this. It will be in the back of my mind now when we cache hunt in those types of areas.
Both nights,1 tent, 3 of us.(2 adults and a 2 year old) It will be the little ones first time camping, so I apologize in advance to anyone with tents on either side of ours. 😆

Just wondering, what # group site is reserved?
.
And on that same note, how many groups can fit on the reserved site? We never have done a group camp trip before. Thanks.
