don’t know exactly what time but Bartrod and I will be doing the Military Series on Saturday Moring too. It all depends on how many caches I can find today need 35 to get to the magic 5000 and I want to do a 5/5 for that one. going to shoot for 30 today in Rhinelander so we would be able to easily get 5 tomorrow.

Ill Send you off a PM goirish75 and maybe we can meet up.

The mission was aborted by my partner due to the chances of the bad weather rolling in, I didn’t feel like driving 90 miles to go after this series alone. Sigh, another time soon I hope.

kmhiker and I are going to tackle some 5/5’s including the Military series this Saturday in Kaukauna. Leaving from West Bend early in the a.m. I wonder how tough it will be to find a 5/5 micro in a snowstorm? Does that make it a 6/6 rating then? 😉

We really love it, very professional looking and easy to find what you’re looking for. Nice job.

Found they work really well for teeny-tiny tick checks. 😯

Well there is a use I never thought of for it…

Hmmm, Where exactly are ya lookin for those ticks?? lol 😉

What a cool series. We may have to make the drive up there to go after these. Are they “winter friendly” (by whose definition? lol). I would love to have that patch on my geopack.

Any CITO events planned for the SE area. (Ozaukee County, Milwaukee County, Washington County?) Thanks.

Not yet. If you, or EnergySaver, or anyone else wants to propose a CITO to the board for 2011, that would be wonderful.

Last year, EnergySaver had one at Harrington Beach that I really wanted to get to, but had to work. I have not talked to him about doing it again in 2011, but hope that he chooses to. See GC25114. Maybe you can offer to assist?

    zuma

We havent yet been to one, so I’m not sure what to expect or propose. We would be happy to work with EnergySaver or one of the more experienced teams in the area to get our feet wet on getting something like this together in our area. Until we learn more about group events and special events like a cleanup, we would be more than happy to assist. 😆

That is really cool, our 20 month old loves that show, and I’ve got every episode memorized by now. What a great idea.

Along with what was already mentioned, we’ve added a Leatherman, a headlamp, an expandable magnetic reach tool,a pair of 2 way radios and some of those nifty little tools for rolling micro and nano logs nice and tight.

    Htc evo rocks!

Doesnt it though!?!? We love our EVO, an awesome caching tool. Although we keep it in the car when its raining or the terrain isnt too friendly looking to be holding the phone. Using our Garmin Oregon 550 AND the EVO for its navigation ability is a great combo. Plus its nice to post logs directly to Groundspeak right from the field! WHooops, did I almost hijack this thread?? 😉

Congrats on the milestone. Someday we hope to get there….some year…
On a side note, we enjoyed a few of your caches when we up that way a few weeks ago 😆
