It looks like there is! Check out GCH558 …. Might be a great trip for DH and I to take this fall since we are planning a “kid free” weekend for the first time in 3 years. Thanks for the idea!

in reply to: Wisconsin counties map? #1877631

I would love to use that map (mine, obviously) in my profile, but I can only seem to find the HTML code for the the country and not the counties. Would LOVE to use the one with the county names and the shading by count! Am I missing something? I tried linking to the image source but once the stats are unloaded they disappear. I am only semi-HTML literate so I may be doing something completely wrong. Could some one help me out? Pretty please?

    Thanks!

I played the game and would love to see the movie, but kweejee is right in that it would mostly depend on the date and time. Weekend evening would be best for me, but might be able to swing a weeknight provided I had enough advance warning. Will this be a GC event? That could be fun, even though the movie isn’t sponsored by GC.com!

That Harry Potter book sure is magical…it has sucked me right into it. I was going to read a little bit last night before bed and 400 pages later I decided it was time to go to sleep at around 1:30 am. I am really feeling it today, but I can’t wait to get home and finish it. With only 100 pages left to go, it is hard not to wonder how everything is going to wrap up. It is times like these that I really hate my job….

You just have to wait until 30 days after your “will attend” post and it will disappear. The same thing happened with me….just be careful that you don’t post you “will attend” more than 30 days before the event or you will lose your reminder!

Awesome photo sequence! Thanks for sharing.

And Roger, I almost busted something laughing at your story. Very funny…always wondered how scouts got their nicknames and now I know. 🙂

Usually when something like that happens I have to make sure the I am not mixing up zeros with ohs (0 vs. O). Are you sure it isn’t something like that?

Toecutter….that cache “Old Yeller Cellar” (GCGQRB) is indeed still active (adopted by sugarbeet), but we didn’t get a chance to look for it due to time/kid restraints. We did do one of the caches only accessible by boat, however, and that was really neat. Can’t wait to get back there and take a crack at the others….am thinking about trying to place a slightly easier one in the park for other people who don’t have access to a boat…..or who cache with young children like we do.

I just finished reading “Perfect Match” by Jodi Picoult and will be starting her newest book, “Nineteen Minutes”, this weekend if I get a chance. If you have never read any of her work it is worth a look. Excellent author who keeps the reader guessing right up to the end.

But I also can’t wait for the last Harry Potter book. I have loved every one of them and can’t wait to see what happens. I am keeping all of them to read to my son when he gets old enough.

What have I been neglecting to go caching? Cleaning, cooking, and yard work. That way I still have time for my hobbies and sleep, but not much more. Will probably be doing a lot of catch-up cleaning this weekend as Mr. GOJeeper has decided to pursue his favorite hobby of off-road Jeeping. *sigh* We did get some major (for us) caching in on Wednesday so I can’t complain.

You are lucky enough to be the “releaser” but you are not the “owner” of the Jeep. Thus, you can’t change anything about it but the location. Have fun and make sure you pick a great spot to release it.

On a side note, it looks like everyone might get a better chance of seeing a Jeep in person this year since they are releasing 8000 of them, 2000 more than last year (green) and 3000 more than the first 2 years (yellow and white).

I will be keeping my fingers crossed that I also get one when I get home. You guys are making my afternoon take much longer than it should. 🙂

in reply to: Is there a reviewer in the house? #1876287

I apologize for not following the well documented procedure. The SBA logs have been deleted and I will continue to sit on my hands waiting for some one to take care of the cache. Next time I see a cache that is having problems that I could possibly help with I will simply put it on my ignore list and wait patiently for some one to notice there is an issue.

in reply to: Looking for someone in madison to go caching with #1872436

Maybe try posting a general date or time that you are interested. There is an event in Janesville this weekend…how bout you come introduce yourself and make some connections that way.

in reply to: Is there a reviewer in the house? #1876285

The reason I placed the SBA is because this cache had been disabled for more than 2 months and the owner had not logged on since the day it had been disabled. Also, the cache owner had exactly one find and one hide. Seeing these things, I figured the cache owner was NOT a serious hider and most likely was never going to take care of the cache. I thought I was doing a proactive service by checking to see if the cache was there and trying to make sure the cache was on SOME ONE’s radar. I guess I was wrong.

Rest assured, I do NOT post SBA notes lightly. This is the second cache I ever posted one on…the first had been disabled for more than 6 months. A quick SBA and the cache was archived within 1 day, voluntarily.
