For anyone interested in local firewood, my father and brother just happen to sell wood in the campground all the time and will even deliver to your site. Send me a PM if interested, or call Jay at Woodlot Management, 715-258-6192.
BTW, I am not trying to advertise, simply provide a connection to some local wood that meets the guidelines required by WDNR.
See everyone at the campout!
SaraI would be interested as well, although weekdays don’t work for me (job, family, etc). I live on the SW side and work on the NE side so I can go anywhere in between, plus would love to head to some outlying areas too. Never seem to get around to it much these days. PM me if interested.

There is also a great Irish restaurant called T.W. McQuarters located just off Main Street as well as a great pizza joint on Main Street called Uptown Pizza.
For those of you looking for something a little different, there is a FABULOUS fish boil place called Van Dyke’s in Scandinavia (N 44° 27.60 W 089° 08.90). Friday night they only have fish, but on Saturday they have BBQ chicken and ribs as well. Little bit of a drive down HWY 49, but completely worth it. I will be eating there Saturday night for sure so if anyone wants directions just track me down.
I also highly recommend the Woods Restaurant. Just be sure to take your appetite…even then you may have to skip a couple meals. 🙂 They are entirely smoke free so that is a nice plus as well.
Looking forward to this weekend and can’t wait to meet everyone!

Too funny! Amazing how we can sometimes be “lost” in plain site.

OK….from the prospective of a person who seems to hold on to bugs/coins longer than the 2 week “limit”….many of us have LIVES outside of caching don’t get a chance to go out caching every day or even every weekend. I have a full time job and a two-year old which demand a lot of my time, as I am sure others out there have similar situations. Sometimes you can cache a whole weekend and never find a cache suitable (or large enough) to put a bug into. All of these things make moving bugs along difficult, but does NOT necessarily make some one a “collector”. I don’t want to keep these things, I simply want to find a good place to put them.
With the Jeeps, in order to enter the contest you have to submit a picture with a theme and that can take time to come up with.
Please consider giving some one longer than a few weeks before you label the a “collector” and banish them to the corner.
Congrats! Keep on cachin’!
I tried working on that one but am so completely lost it isn’t even funny. Had to give up and stay away or I would never get any sleep. Give me a GPS-the-game puzzle any day….
Congrats!! Keep it going and you will catch Dan before you know it. 😀
Congrats you guys! Had a blast at the event and afterwards too. We managed to squeeze in 13 caches that day and it was hard to stop there. Looking forward to your 1000th celebration….
We will bring veggies and dip. And hotdogs since we have a bunch leftover from my son’s birthday party. See you there!
I just went through this process of figuring it out the other night so if you need any detailed advice, send an email or PM. It really isn’t as hard as you might think and after only a week of using it, it is DEFINITELY worth it.
Good luck!
SaraThat we might be able to do! Will be in the area that weekend and will try to come for a while. As long as we are there we can finally pick up some area caches too! Win-win all the way around.
Can’t wait for you to meet that milestone! We would like to come but a date on the calendar would really help us out. 🙂
Welcome to the obsession…I mean SPORT! Yeah that’s it…sport. Hope you have fun and feel free to ask as many questions as you want. Next thing you know, you will be planning your vacations around what caches you can get!
Happy Caching!
SaraAm I seeing that right? You did over 100 caches in a WEEK? I was happy when I got NINE in a week. Tell Marc to give you a night off, then go celebrate!
