It’s a Packer draft-party-challenge-thingy. Find the medallion hidden somehwere in a “public location” in Brown County, win Packer tickets and a bunch of stuff. Has nothing to do with using a GPSr but lots of folks out getting intimate with bridges and trees and whatnot trying to figure out the clues that trickle in each day.
Hopefully no one calls the bomb squad!

Hey, You’re supposed to take me along!!!!
Sorry man, the 172 was full up. I’ll let you know when I head down to ATW so you can start printing up flyers the day before.
On the Left Side of the Road...Well, we know it will be a quiet caching day in Appleton Saturday because all the activity will be at the CITO! Because after all, if you have the time to get out caching, you have the time to get out to the CITO first…right?!

And I do believe that Google Earth was used for these hides.
Are you sure seldom|seen isn’t placing these??? 😈
On the Left Side of the Road...Just save yourself the trouble and pour a few spoonfuls of sugar down your throat. Gritty AND sickeningly sweet. What’s not to love?
Disclaimer: I am in the minority in this household…

On the Left Side of the Road...What about “rockstashing?”
Yes, this is a real game. 😯
To wit:
“Follow directions to find, not a tupperware container or metal box, but a
stone, rock or boulder. This is called ‘rock stashing’. There is a
surprisingly growing group of enthusiasts for this activity.”I don’t know what a “surprisingly growing group” entails. To me, one person would be surprising, but there are those who feel that way about geocaching.
Now, if you use an existing rock as your geocache, you’re not leaving anything behind that wasn’t already there. Of course, you have to find a way to make it loggable. You could paint a log on the bottom similar to some other creative caches around…though that gets us into the prohibition against “defac[ing] public or private property, whether a natural or man-made object, in order to provide a hiding place, a clue or a logging method.”
Ha!
On the Left Side of the Road...I’ll look into those macros. Generally a few prior logs are fine just to know if it’s been found or not but sometimes there’s a nugget or two a ways back that can be quite helpful when you’re stuck. Either that or we gotta get true wireless.
This game can actually get expensive if you let it! (As I left Sam’s club yesterday with $60 worth of lithum batteries…)
On the Left Side of the Road...Wow, you two were really putting on the miles yesterday!
Finishing up 44 caches to complete that 92 cache-series is pretty amazing! Our inbox was full!!!
Congrats on 500 and on finishing the WSQ SCC challenge!
On the Left Side of the Road...It was a nice day to go flying. And a rental car at CWA was only $25 for the day with tax. And we didn’t even have to pedal it. Can’t beat that.
On the Left Side of the Road...Remember if you have kids in Scouting this can be a good public service activity for them to do as well, for badges or otherwise.

How can I word this so it doesn’t appear as an ALR? 😀
How about “This is an optional request, and to help you comply with this request, I will be so kind as to delete your log if it does not comply, generously providing you the opportunity to relog.”
Sieg Heil Groundspeak!

I just submitted 2 new “ALS” (Additional Logging Suggestion) caches for review. Much more fun than ALR. ALR is sooo 2008. ALS is the ALR for 2009. 🙂
-cheeto-
No no! ALR = Additional Logging REQUEST. It’s like computers -cheeto-. We just rebrand the acronym.

Well, I think we should
take a caching tour of ALR caches
while discussing the merits of the new WGA logo selection and
hopefully avoiding any bomb scaresOn the Left Side of the Road...I hope the owners keep these ALR caches as “mystery.” I see no reason to change them. Mystery in this case means “something a little different.”
Actually I think one of the benefits of the mystery designation is the reduced traffic. It’s a way to affect the type of cachers who will search for the cache, without having to limit it to premium members (which doesn’t necessarily do the same thing either).
