In Seymour, not too far especially if you’re coming from the west to GB anyway.

depends on the palm… i found a patch for my old one and it worked just fine… vista will also hotsync with my Palm Centro phone to load cachemate, no patch needed.

You got a hotsync patch? From where? I have a Zire 72 but the hotsync program is supposedly the same among many different versions.

Also, Vista will not run the Lowrance (LEI) mapping software program. Oh, and I can’t run the Garmin Forerunner (our GPSr field backup unit) on it either.

Other than that, Vista is just great! 😕

Palm hotsync will not work with Vista. I have to upload the palm using a different XP machine. You could install XP and Vista on one machine and choose which OS to load up. Either way it’s a major PITA.

How about a geocaching event? We could place temp caches at all the signs on that street. I think there are 4 if memory serves.

Ya, but when you’re poking into a guard rail on a busy streetcorner, or feeling up some electrical panel that might or might not be on private property but it’s the only thing around 😯 😯 😯 it’s pretty hard to make it look like you’re “supposed to be there doing that.”

Then when the lame cache goes missing, you get blamed for being LTF because you didn’t rehide it well enough. 🙄

(Yes this is a soapbox issue for me as I have seen too many caches placed in overly public areas which are just begging to have the police/bomb squad pay a visit.)

We call these drive-bys, and fortunately our immediate area has not been as infested with them as some other areas we have visited.

Winter caching is the best. Nobody in the parks and no leaves on the trees.

Ya but you can’t get your bike out though, right?

Well I for one think that this is an honorable group that has been much maligned. And my opinion has nothing to do with the fact that I live nearby, and often fly out of the airport in a flightpath that necessarily goes directly over their property.

This has also happened in Shawano (before the RAMA cult episode!)
