My daughter (9) loves finding micros. And she’s good to have along because I am old and blind and cannot find them even if you dangle them in front of my eyes.

Sure most caches have an exact answer but sometimes being off by one second here or there will not stop you from finding the cache.
Yeah but I still have some people b… complain because the coords are “off” by 10 feet…
On the Left Side of the Road...10 tries in 10 minutes or an hour or something like that. I never hit against the limit because we always get it right the first time. 😳
On the Left Side of the Road...Take your kids to letterbox hybrids. Ours think the stamps are cool and they get something to “take” with them that they do keep as they fill up a stamp journal that’s a reminder of things we’ve done as a family over the past few years.
On the Left Side of the Road...Any one versus the other work better within tree canopy?
On the Left Side of the Road...Hmmm…I’m seeing a “Biblical History” puzzle somewhere…ya know, the Bible is taught as literature…and heck, we just solved a puzzle in the area that was based on info from the Book of Mormon….
On the Left Side of the Road...Clearly this person is and idiot who can neither spell nor string together a coherent string of thoughts. Plus he/she LIKES TO YELL A LOT in posts. I’d “consider the source.”

Look at all the news stories and articles on Geocaching you’ve ever read; They always talk about the cache container and swag, not about how you shake the little piece of paper the size of a gum wrapper out of a tube and scratch your name on it with a one-inch pencil stub.
Ok, that made me laugh. Great post.
But, they also talk about finding buried treasure, and that ain’t true either. Dang journalists…oh wait, that’s me…

But, I can’t believe that people say “I’m too poor to place full sized caches, so I MUST place micros.”
Good grief! Never heard that one. Anyone who can afford a GPSr and the gas it takes to drive around to hunt Tupperware can afford to spend the money to put out a swag-filled cache if they so choose. Ammo cans at Fleet Farm cost about the same as a pack of cigarettes. Ooooh, did I say that out loud????
On the Left Side of the Road...Say what you want about micros, but we have never had to remove unmentionable items from micros when maintaining our caches. I’m sure someone out there has a story, but…
On the Left Side of the Road...I’m going to start stocking our new caches with all the torn and damp “calling cards” that we clean out when restocking our caches. Maybe a few muddy range balls or buttons. Heck, I just found a house key in one of our key caches–wonder if I could find the house it goes to…

micros are a lot cheaper to replace then the bigger containers when they disappear. Also they don’t get filled up with trash. I just hate having to go thru a big container full of junk to find the log book and the geocoin that is suppose to be in there. And it seems like more and more often I wish I had a pair of rubber gloves to wear while looking thru some of the stuff that is left behind.
Hear hear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the Left Side of the Road...I should temper earlier comments a bit…basically we’ve given up trying to place larger size caches in any sort of urban setting. Swag mooches seem to be an inevitable and unfortunate frustration, but if an arduous journey is the point of the cache we’ll put a larger container out there if for no other reason than to make it less frustrating to find.
So ultimately, the container should fit the “cache worthy” spot, it’s just that more and more the suitable container is a micro.
On the Left Side of the Road...Also, back up your bookmarks/favorites. Our hard drive crashed last weekend (aren’t they supposed to make grinding sounds?) and even though we were able to restore documents we had backed up, lots of stuff was lost such as the bookmark list that had been built up over several years. 😡

Without knowing complete facts, I know I am ashamed of any geocacher that would send an email with so little respect for another’s opinions.
I feel geocachers are a wonderful group, but reserve the right to “ignore” the few that I find that are intolerant of others.
Unfortunately any activity has its share of idiots. Unfortunately we’ve been on the receiving end of some of this stuff in the past too, which is why we changed our geo-ID to one that is more anonymous than the one we started playing the game with….
